We popped in for breakfast. They are only doing breakfast and lunch at this point. My wife liked her Carolina Mariner and I enjoyed my Smoked Salmon bagel. Our server was Doris and she did a nice job overall.

Outstanding Resort! The outside grounds were well manicured and beautiful, likewise the lobby and indoor areas were very elegant and spotless, with many amenities. The room was fresh and inviting, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Dining was limited to only the Waterscapes restaurant due...to COVID, however the food was delicious. The resort staff were all courteous and helpful and followed all the safety restrictions throughout the resort keeping everyone safe. I look forward to vacationing her again.More

Ate dinner there this evening. Was sesational. I started with a bright fresh salad Nicoise that had a fabulous piece of tuna cooked to order. My husband had the chilli shrimp, that was ferociously spicy and delicious at the same time, he then had the...shrimp and grits which he thoroughly enjoyed while I hit the jackpot with the unbelievably good short rib ragu that was served with silky soft pappardelle pasta. The best dish I've had in a restaurant is a long time. The service was great too, our server Sarah was professional but friendly, we felt perfectly looked after, and enjpted meeting and chatting with the chef a lot too. We highly recommend Waterscapes whether or not you are a hust at the hotel, we will be back tomorrow for dinner again.More

We had two meals here, one breakfast and one dinner. First thing is they need to get the people who work at the host station up to speed on how Open Table works. They seemed not to know about Open Table at all. We didn't...get our points for either visit. The food at breakfast and dinner was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices are a little on the stiff side. Two negatives - the TV in the bar was playing loud enough to be heard in the dining room during both meals. Not a good look for a 4 star resort. For dinner, when you have a couple come in with dinner reservations, it's not the best move to sit them next to a chatty table of 8 retirees. There is enough room in the dining area to give some space. This is a good spot. It should be a great spot.More

WaterScapes Restaurant at the Marina Inn, Myrtle Beach, SC Overall, just a fair meal. Thursday, January 16, 2020 Three couples decided to treat themselves to a Restaurant Week culinary experience at the subject restaurant. This eatery has a reputation as one of the better up-scale...eateries in Myrtle Beach. You would never know it based on tonight’s experience! Five of the six diners selected meals from the Restaurant Week specials menu. All of the meals from said menu were mediocre! For starters, all winter green salads were served with wilted lettuce – clearly the salads were premade hours earlier and sitting out waiting to be served, one diner had the lobster bisque and while tasty it was served warm, not hot. For entrees, four diners chose the wild caught salmon, served with bok choy and fingerling potatoes, all four meals were served warm, not hot, and the salmon was over-done, it was dry and not terribly appealing. One diner had the braised short ribs with Hericot Vert and smothered in a brown gravy, this meal was also served warm, and the braised short ribs were fatty. The sixth diner ordered a filet mignon off the standard menu and reported that his meal was excellent, start to finish. One would imagine that Restaurant Week would be an ideal time to put your best foot forward. WaterScapes apparently didn’t think it at all necessary. Another major distraction was an electrical problem with the lights in the dining room, they strobed constantly throughout the time we were there. When a member of the staff was asked about this we were told “it’s been like this for days and apparently management hasn’t been able to get it fixed!” The pecan tartlet was tough, it was either stale, overcooked or both. On the other hand, the chocolate mousse cake was very good, and Brandon, our server; he was friendly, attentive, professional. I’m no stranger to this restaurant, having eaten here as recently as Christmas night, but after tonight I’ll think twice before returning to WaterScapes.More

This is our first time at Waterscapes but it won’t be our last! The atmosphere was very tranquil and we had the pleasure of having Sharon, as our server, for our date night the other night. Sharon was so amazing and made the experience phenomenal!...So let’s talk about the food, from the delicious warm bread that comes with a goat cheese garlic dipping which is amazing :-) to the beet salad and spicy shrimp and that was just the appetizers! My husband had a delicious fillet, he said it’s the best he’s ever had and I had a crabcake which had no fillers it was absolutely divine. I will definitely be coming back, delicious food. The cook really knows what he is doing!!More

I was at Waterscapes as part of a large group. Groups are hard, but not for these folks. The food was amazing. The executive chef came out and spoke to us, his passion for great food came shining through. The service was superb. Their wine...list is out of this world. If you aren't sure what wine will pair best with your meal, ask, they will give you wonderful suggestions. We had a prix-fix menu which is sometimes a problem for me as I have a gluten allergy. I turned down one course that I couldn't eat, I let the server know why but said - "don't worry, I don't need anything else." However, my entree and dessert came out a little different from the rest of the group. :-) gluten free. Happily making an accommodation without being asked to - exemplary service from the kitchen to front of the house!More
