I took my family here as part of our Christmas tradition weekend. It was our first time. The gift shop is gorgeous with many beautiful things with acceptable prices. The escalator to take you upstairs to the dining area is very impressive. We ordered fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, meat loaf and pot roast. We found very few dumplings in the bowl, mostly juice, not even much chicken so we won’t order that again. The meat loaf was not a favorite but the fried chicken and pot roast was very good. The creamed corn was excellent, so sweet. Fried okra was crispy, not greasy. The cheese biscuits were so tasty. The creamed potatoes were good, using red potatoes so some skin found. The Mac n cheese was okay. Our server was very attentive bringing refills. Yes, it is somewhat pricey but for us, a special occasion may warrant a return.

First time visit, we were welcomed in and seated right away. Our sever Kristin B. Arrived quickly and explained the family style service and menu options.
Kristin was so helpful, she saved us from choosing the white rice side noting that the pot roast we chops came with rice.
The country frayed streak was lacking, over cooked and not enough gravy. The gravy we did get was way too thick more like mashed potatoes.
Would recommend for family to try.

The food was good and the service was amazing. Justice was our server and he did a great job of keeping our beverages filled and making sure our entrees and sides came out quickly. My only complaint would be that the larger entree portions should have come out first. There were three of us, and there was not enough meat for each of us initially and when they brought out the second helping it was too much.

We avoided this restaurant since they opened because it seemed to be set up just for families. But, we had heard about how great Paula Deen's cooking was, so we decided to try it on 8/27/24 for dinner. We got the package with two entrees: chicken & dumplings and meatloaf, with mashed potatoes, creamed corn, mac & cheese, and green beans. The chicken & dumplings had extremely chewy lumps of chicken that hadn't been shredded and tasted like it had been on a warmer all day. The meatloaf was very dry and tasteless, with a spicy barbecue sauce added to try to fix it. The mac & cheese was pretty bland. The biscuits were OK, except extremely dry. The tiny serving of peach cobbler for dessert was nothing special. Overall, the whole dinner was of lower quality than frozen dinners. Also, we saw other waiters who seemed very attentive but, the young lady who waited on us was hardly ever around. The place is clean and the view was good but, the dinner was hardly worth even the relatively low price we paid. We decided to not buy a Paula Deen cookbook at the store downstairs!

Our waiter Kyle was awesome, very attentive and did a great job. Food is mediocre. Collards just tasted like salt, fried pork chops were slimy, but edible, macaroni and cheese tasted like it was frozen, fried okra was good. Fried chicken tasted off... great service, everyone was pleasant and engaging. To pay the same amount to get into the aquarium and eat lunch is insane.

Staff is very friendly, could even be too friendly. Giant restaurant can handle large parties. Family style eating only and the experience is unique. I can tell you the food came out insanely quick which made me feel like everything is pre made, and likely is. The food was average. Pricing was fine, came to $60 for 2 people.

We came to Myrtle Beach for vacation and chose this restaurant as our first night's meal. It did not disappoint! We got there 30 minutes prior to our reservation since our show ended sooner than we had expected. They still seated us right away. The food was delicious and we had plenty of food. We chose the spare ribs and chicken & dumplings. The spare ribs were incredible and I would absolutely get those again. I would not get the chicken & dumplings again only because I'm not a big fan of that dish in general and my family wanted it. We chose collard greens, fried okra, creamed potatoes, & candied yams as our sides and it was all amazing. The collards were a bit too salty for me but they were still good. The desserts were amazing but we did have to take them to go since we were stuffed by the time we were finished eating. The atmosphere was wonderful, food came super fast, and the aesthetic was beautiful. Our server was Carlotta and she was probably the nicest server I've ever had at a restaurant. It was a delight to have her take care of us. The only negative I have of the restaurant is that the bathrooms were not the cleanest. We went for dinner so it had probably been awhile since they had been freshened up and there were so many people moving in and out of there. We will definitely visit this restaurant again if we have the opportunity!

Food was great our server Carlotta was a pleasure very attentive and friendly. I was asking her what happens to all the leftover food that was not eaten, and she said it's just thrown out! I was very disappointed to hear that. I would have thought they would at least team up with an animal rescue or a local farm to offer it as feed. Another restaurant we frequent in NC which is also a family style partners with local farms. I understand the no to go box since it is family style, but it just seems so wasteful.

The experience was great. Kyle, our server, was very attentive and sociable. He made sure we understood the dynamics of the restaurant, which made our experience more enjoyable. I love the side dishes and roast. We found the chicken a little bland.

Our server, Hayley was great! She was super friendly and made sure we were happy with our choices.
The food itself could have been better. The great standouts were fried chicken, green beans, fried okra and creamed corn. The pot roast was just okay. The chicken fried steak was definitely not fresh made. It tasted like it came frozen and the restaurant just fried it. Ribs were okay.
We are still glad we gave this a try. Service was great. We sat by the window so the scenery was nice as the sun went down.

Great food and excellent service!
This was 1st time visiting Paula Deen’s and let me say that my server Kyle made this experience an unforgettable one! He went far and beyond to make sure my family and I was well taken care of. From explaining the menu, staying on top of needing more food with drink refills and explaining dessert options!! He really provided top notch service. Thanks Kyle for a great time on tonight!! I will definitely be back!

We spent $187 for five people, only ordered the first serving and we’re not allowed to take the leftovers home. Now, if we had ordered a second serving, I understand the point of not allowing you to take stuff home. But to me, this is a racket, and a lot of food was wasted. Very disappointing experience. However our waitress Ava was fantastic and very attentive.

I can't begin to say how great the food was. We had the steak with gravy, pot roast and chicken with mashed potatoes, mac n Cheese, corn and green beans. (The diet plate) lol. Our waitress Carlotta was fantastic!!
She kept bringing the food, was very sweet to us and gave us information about the area. I will definitely be back soon and hope she is working.

My wife and I along with our son, daughter in law and 2 grandchildren, ages 3 and 5 had dinner at Paul’s Deens in Myrtle Beach, SC. For starters. I will say I like the family style set up. The portions are adequate. The problem is the food. For the mains, we ordered chicken and dumplings and beef stew and rice. For sides, we ordered mashed potatoes, green bean, salad and Mac and cheese. To start, the chicken and dumplings looked and tasted as if they were made yesterday and reheated several time, The beef, in the beef stew and rice, was shredded to the point it was almost unrecognizable. With the exception of the salad EVERY dish was overly salted, especially the mashed potatoes! This was my first and last time to eat here.

This is a great place to experience local southern cuisine in a casual, family style format. Everything we had was very good and we certainly got our money’s worth. Our server Ashley was very helpful in explaining how the menu works and gave good advice in terms of how much to order.
