I could have very easy given this review a one star because of the service but that’s not fair to the business owner and the kitchen staff.. Went to Ruth Cris Tuesday night to celebrate our friend’s bday, half of our party have been here...several times, it was my first time. My steak was cooked perfect and I enjoyed it. I loved the sweet potatoes casserole and the cream brûlée. I did not care much for the lobster bisque or the spinach dip which I thought it was a pesto sauce but that’s just me..and for the rest of my friends all the main dishes were good. I ordered couple of appetizers as starters: spicy shrimp and mash-rooms but they never came. I asked the server when he was bringing the entree plates about it and he said we never ordered appetizers which is fine because we were having a lot of conversation going on and he probably did not hear me but I did not like the comment after that: “do you want me to bring them now to make up for your dinner “? We had order steaks and plenty of sides dishes . That comment wasn’t nice.. The other thing that rubbed us in a wrong way was the gratuity he added at the end. We felt that since we spoke another language among us the server probably assumed we will not tip him..6 out of 8 of our group are/were business owners and we are locals for over 25y and few of us members of GD. We chose Ruth Cris for the experience, quality food and to have a good time, not by accident, if we couldn’t afford it we will not have come here..I understand that is hard to find good servers nowadays but at restaurant like this I expect more when comes to service. I am not sure if I would like to come back..More

Let me start by saying I don’t write many reviews, but when I do, there was a problem. I have worked in the service industry and understand there are mishaps that occur. I have dined at multiple Ruth Chris’s around the US and my experience...this time at the Myrtle Beach Ruth Chris was not up to par with the rest. We were celebrating my mom’s birthday (who had never been to a Ruth Chris). Grant was our waiter. He checked on us ONE time. He checked on our neighbor table multiple times. I might would understand not getting service at lower star restaurant, but not Ruth Chris. My mom also didn’t get her birthday dessert which was disappointing. We were going to order dessert, but was so disappointed, we just paid our bill and left. I’m not looking to get any free food compensation or anything, I just wanted to share my experience.More

Went here with a large group on a week night. We were in a private room, which was nice. Service was good and pretty fast considering it was a large group. The appetizers were awesome. Loved the crab legs and calamari. I had the 16...oz rib eye. It was not that good at all. My husband makes much better rib eye steaks that we buy from wal mart. The side dishes were all just okay.More

Not sure where to start? Good- food tasted good…only plus Bad- waiter…almost hit me in face with menu reaching across me to the person to my right, greeting was terrible, didn’t offer specials, salads brought out with no asking of cracked pepper, table went unclear...and uncleared after meal-before desert, drinks went unfilled for significant period of time, we had no clue whom the waiter was talking to when taking the order(took 20 minutes), wife’s bday and I made special arrangement via open table- fail! Worst table, no offer of small cake and candle (table behind us got it tho…manager didn’t stop by, and no one greeted us bumping arrival, or departure! Unreal! Suggestion- retrain all staff. I know we are post-Covid but I want what I pay for. It’s not privileged…I’m not a snot…but I’ve been there 10 times over the last few years and it was embarrassing, and disappointing:(. I’m sad I had to find my log on to even write a review, but that’s how bad it was…. Please do way better ChrisMore

We chose to celebrate our anniversary here. We live in the same neighborhood and liked the idea of of being so close to home after a luxurious meal. I was hoping it would be good enough for us to go there regularly. Upon arrival, there...were a few small Happy Anniversary scatters on the table; otherwise the table was set as usual. One of the things we ordered was the Cowboy Ribeye, which was cooked Medium Rare as ordered. But, this steak was so tough, it was a struggle to cut it; plus, it was so hard to chew, it hurt my jaw. We complained twice to the manager, who ultimately maintained that their steak is the highest quality, so…here’s the full bill for it. What a slap in the face to be forced to pay roughly $60 for that tough steak! Had it been the top quality they pretended it was, we’d have no problem paying it; that’s why we went there in the first place…for excellent steak. Being treated so unfairly put a huge damper on our anniversary.More

Great interior, awesome bar, fantastic wait staff. We had a great time. Steaks were fine, though a shade overcooked, but we might not have been cued into their cooking standards. They tasted just fine. Sides were huge and all good. But, the elephant in the...room is the pricing. We were in Myrtle Beach paying New York steak house prices. It was great place, but it was not New York. Our $300+ meal should probably have been $175. If it was, we’d be back frequently. At the current prices, they’ll be missing a revenue stream from us. Just saying. Again, the staff was stellar.More

After year and a half of only dining out 3 or 4 times it was an amazing treat to eat at Ruth's Chris. Our steaks were done perfectly as requested and were excellent. The sides weren't as hot as they should have been but that...wasn't high priority to us.More

I would certainly make reservations. I do not think they are open for lunch. Better check on that.
