Ordered 2 shrimp baskets, very good, lighty battered, very juicy, fries were crispy, good sweet slaw, onion rings plenty for two and tasty. Inlet Crab House was also light on the wallet (cost), great place to eat, u can also tell they change there oil regularly by how light the breading was. Nice job!!

If you want excellent seafood, very fair prices, nice portions, and simple decor, then you must come to the Inlet Crab House. My wife and I had the Rum Punch and Blue Marlin drinks which were so tasty. Our entrees were the Fish chowder cup along with Scallop and Oyster Baskets. Sharon was nice and attentive. This is our fav restaurant in Murrells Inlet.

I’ve lived around Myrtle Beach for a few years and my wife and I happened to stumble into this hidden gem last night. We sat at the bar and Shay took care of us. First time in here and we were looking to share a few things, since we couldn’t decide. We shared a bowl of Clam chowder which was homemade and recommend and then ordered a seafood platter which was plentiful. Definitely enough to share. Food was amazing and fried just right and the bartender was nice and helpful with recommendations.

We have been visiting Garden City and eating in Murrells Inlet for over 20 years. We have never been to Inlet Crab House before and were excited to try it. Unfortunately, I can’t speak to the quality of the food because after being seated, we were ignored for 20 minutes and eventually left. We arrived just before 5:15. We have a 9 month old, so wanted to eat as early as possible. We arrived and were seated in the patio, right next to the server’s station. We had brought baby food for our son, so I started feeding him while we waited for our server. We were planing on ordering appetizers right away so we could share those with him when he was done. He finished his entire baby food and still no one had greeted us. There appeared to be 2 servers assigned to the patio, one training a new server and another on her own. There were ourselves, and 3 other tables on the patio. The table next to us was seated after we were and they were greeted right away and given drinks. The servers passed us multiple times on their way to and from the server station. No one greeted us or asked if we had been helped, even after looking at our empty table. After another 10-15 minutes and our son finishing the other snack we brought him, we decided to leave. At this point it is too late to go somewhere else. What was supposed to be our first dinner out as a family in a very long time, has turned into another night of take out. We were excited to try a new place and are beyond disappointed.

I have been dining and recommending "Inlet Crab House" for over 20 years. Food and service have always far exceeded my expectations, UNTIL TODAY! Extremely upset and disappointed in how management handled and unfortunate experience. No sense of compassion, care, or just plain customer service shown. We were seated immediately to wait over 30 mins. with several attempts at getting someone's attention to ask why others were being waited on and served but we were not. I politely asked the hostess to have someone come to my table with guest but still continued to wait. After 5 mins. or more, I again politely asked to speak with a manager. When "J" the manager arrived, before I could even say anything she started telling me about confusion on the wait staff side as to who had our table. She then continued to tell me how short staffed they were, how long they had been working, and that "someone" would be taking care of us as soon as they could. I asked why customers who came in after us had been waited on and were receiving food but we were being completely ignored. I could not even make eye contact or wave someone down. Clearly she did not want to hear anything I was trying to say. What I was trying to ask or at least share my observation, is why would you seat customers if you could not handle or serve them. Before seating customers explain it is going to take some time, acknowledge what is going on and give customers a opportunity to stay or leave. At least acknowledge them and let them know you care, appreciate their business, patience and understanding. What about a glass of water, tea, etc., while you wait. NOTHING! Manager "J's" tone was unacceptable as if to say she did not care whether we stayed or left. Personally I have never been treating with such a complacent and disregard for feelings as I was treated today at "Inlet Crab House" by manager "J".
I would like to add that I have always enjoyed their excellent food but to be treated that way, served no respect and that attitude, far outweighs the excellent food.
My party and I ended up at "The Claw House" right down the road, where we were met at the door, till the end of the dinner, with being made to feel like we were their most important customer. We actually had a server who was about to get off come over and explain that he was going to take our drink order while our wait staff person finished up with another customer. Talk about team work and acknowledging our prescence, on top of being extremely attentive to our needs.
Disappointed in "Inlet Crab's" manager "J's" customer service is putting it mildly!
Money spent:
Inlet Crab House - $00.00
The Claw House - $150.00

My husband and I are new to the area and took the advice of some locals to try this hidden gem. Boy are we glad we did! Our server Paula had a big smile on her face as she introduced herself which made us feel welcomed and at ease. Being our first time we asked what was good and she replied with everything is good! Thinking to myself ok they have to say that but boy was she right! We started with calamari (prepared perfectly), homemade onion rings (amazing), homemade hush puppies (superb), and homemade clam chowder (best ever). Then the platters! Oh my! Plentiful and amazing! This will definitely be one of our go to places! Thanks Paula for making our 1st experience a great one!

When they bring you the recipes, if your party is 6 or more tip is included. Fine. I usually tip 25% so if you want 18% instead whatever. The servers then circle the total - which conveniently covers up the gratuity that was added. So you’re not paying attention and hand them your credit card. The receipt they bring back has the “pre gratuity total” listed - but it includes the pre paid tip. This is complete and utter shenanigans. Yep the food was good - we went back twice but won’t go back again. I don’t appreciate leaving feeling swindled (of course we screwed up the first time we went so ended up tipping 50%).
We had 2 receipts in our party. Both had lines drawn through the “gratuity”. This is 100% intentional. I don’t do business where I’m being swindled. Never again

We’re very sorry this happened it certainly not the way they are trained. Our staff is trained to explain to every party when gratuity is added when they present the check. I understand your anger and would like to reimburse you for the gratuity that was added as well as any additional that you had given to your server. Please call the Inlet crabhouse 843 651 8452 so I can get you my personal phone number.

Based on previous reviews I made a reservation for me and two friends to eat here. I ordered the scallops. Because I didn’t want fried scallops I had to pay a $2 up charge to have them broiled. Strange, but ok. I was served a plate of starkly white small scallops that I honestly believe were microwaved. They were tough, chewy and totally without any seasoning at all. I ate a few and gave up. For another upcharge I ordered homemade onion rings. These were quite undercooked. This was not only a disappointing meal, but an expensive one. Neither of my friends were happy with their meal either.

I apologize that you didn’t enjoy your meal, if it was brought to your server or a manager’s attention we could have corrected the situation. As far as the up charge the reason for it we hand cut sweet vidalla onions to make our onion rings and only use New Bedford scallops to broil and they tend to be a lot more costly.

Me and my wife visited the Crab House yesterday evening and were pleasantly surprised to see they had some specials going on! My wife had the Seafood Alfredo and I had the grits and they were both amazing and we even had enough to take home with us. We had originally came for the baskets and some soup but Our waitress Alyssa informed us of the specials and we just had to try the pastas. I will totally be revisiting.

We have enjoyed eating here for many years. The food is great, staff is great and we like the rustic atmosphere. While most people probably come for the seafood, we had their grilled rib a long time ago and now it is what we order all the time. It is grilled out back to your order. The onion rings are great, and the blue cheese dressing that comes with the salad is homemade and wonderfully chunky!! Even the baked potatoes are delicious. We also love the oyster shooters for appetizers. Tonight our waitress, Keri, provided service that added to the enjoyment of our meal. 🙂
Of note, we find it best to call to be sure they are open. Sometimes we’ve driven down to find them closed. This is rare though.

My wife and I had an awesome experience at Inlet Crab House. The bartender, Shay, was extremely personable and knowledgeable about the menu and the area. She made us feel welcomed and provided excellent service. We ordered steak and ribs that fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. With all the choices along restaurant row in Murrells Inlet, the Inlet Crab House is a home run.

We have been going to Inlet Crab house for years and have never had a bad experience. This time was no different. We started with raw oysters and steamed shrimp, which were great. The snow crab legs came out steaming hot in a covered pot. The grilled Red Snapper was wonderful as well. Our server Keri was fun, energetic and only there when needed.

My sister-in-law and I have been looking for the best priced New England style lobster roll since we moved here over five years ago, We found it today at the Inlet Crab House! This is a very cozy, welcoming restaurant and we loved our lobster rolls. Our server Lora was from the NE area as we are and was a delight to talk with. We felt "down home" and loving it!

My husband and tried this place on the last night of our trip and wish we would have found it sooner! Such a sweet little cozy place and the food was outstanding! Lucky for us we had Lora as our server. She was so kind and suggested several fresh seafood options. I am so disappointed in the previous negative review. We were there around the same time and yes, they closed earlier than usual and were adjusting to the social distancing and heavier than usual take out traffic. They did an awsome job! The manager even gave us complementary appetizers because he felt they took too long. I thought everything was perfect! Please try this little hidden gem....at the beginning of your trip...cause you'll go back! Ask for Lora and tell her Pittsburgh says hello!

We had a little bit of a wait due to limited seating but it was so worth it!! The wait staff was attentive even though they were extremely busy. We had the fried baskets and hush puppies, they were so sweet and fresh. I will definitely be returning.
