We were told that this restaurant was the oldest, most historic place with great food. We found the staff to be lackluster and food was average, bland and overpriced. Maybe we were there on a bad day. Did have a nice view but staff didn’t...bother to seat us at a window seat even though there were lots of open tables.More

We went for dinner on a Wednesday night for our sister n her husbands anniversary. After being seated, Jackson came over to assist us with ordering drinks n our entrees. He gave us extra time because of thee tensile and impressive menu. My wife ordered...the Steak Special which was a wonderful filet. I ordered the small fried Seafood platter. The steak came out perfect at medium rare and the seafood was absolutely perfectly fried to a golden brown. No over-cooking at Hot Fish Club. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and were totally impressed with Jackson’s knowledge of everything on the menu, he Che king to make sure we were pleased, and just his general pleasantness with us. He is a great server!!! We did get peanut butter pie to- go before leaving. We will return. PS…Hot Fish Club is not cheap but not overpriced for the quality of food you get. Our go-to restaurant when friends are visiting with us.More

We had the char-grilled Cobia and seafood pasta. Both meals were delicious. The waiter was attentive and the food was served quickly. We also enjoyed the marsh view and will definitely return the next time we vacation in the area.

This is the best restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area for seafood and other dishes. My only complaint is that it's very noisy. The service is always good and the food is reasonably priced.

The seafood pot pie was fabulous, and very expensive for what it was ($36), but isn't everything anymore? It would have been nice to have been served with steamed broccoli or another veggie. The bread was store-bought and not even baked. So if you're wondering...why I gave this place a 5 in light of my comments, it's because of the service and views. Our waiter could not have been more than about 22 but was one of the best I've ever encountered. I wish I had caught his name (he's white with dark hair and very light toned complexion) so I could properly send kudos. I WILL return to this place, hopefully when someone besides myself is footing the bill.More

Made reservation for two, since we were doing the marsh walk, and this is one of the restaurants on the boardwalk. We were seated right away in the main dining area. Very knowledgeable and attentive waitress. This restaurant has small plates, which I like since...I can never eat all the food on regular dinner. I had crab cake with potato and salad, hubby had grilled blacken grouper over bed of lobster risotto and spinach. He wished we were staying another day just to go back there.More

This place has good reviews and turns out they are right. We enjoyed an early bird shrimp dinner and grilled shrimp, grits and cole slaw. Both dinners were excellent. The grits were delicious. This was the best all around meal we had while here. We...will definitely eat here again.More

We went to the Hot Fish Club with friends for dinner. The food was excellent the drinks were great. There are two areas to eat at the club, a gazebo and a sit down indoor restaurant. We ate in the gazebo, it has screen over...the windows so the sand nats will not bite you but is a large open air area with tables and a bar. The indoor restaurant is a standard local seafood house with a bar. We had the crab cakes and a salad, they we well prepared and a large portion. Parking is a little tight but the restaurant on the left is owned by the same person so we parked over at that property. We look forward to coming back.More

I had the special, a pecan crusted salmon with red pepper grits and spinach. It was delicious. We also started with the calamari and the tuna poke which were equally yummy. We will certainly come back here! A member of my party has a gluten...allergy and felt very safe dining here. The gluten free menu had a lot of options!More

Lobster pot pie and lemon grass tuna are to die for. Eat at the bar and you get to enjoy the camaraderie with the bartenders. I just don’t understand why this restaurant isn’t rated #1 in Murrells Inlet

Nice neighborhood restaurant. We were welcomed by a very nice hostess, and brought to our table. Our waiter, Alex was friendly and knowledgeable. The Chef, who we later learned was fairly new, could have been better. For example, while the Seafood Cioppino had a very...good broth, it included very overcooked fish and mussels. On the other hand, the wasabi crunch tuna appetizer was great! We went for an early dinner arriving at 5:30 PM. By 6:00 PM, the restaurant was pretty full. This was our 1st time at Hot Fish Club. We’re definitely looking forward to giving them another shot.More

We went at 4:00 and sat at the bar; bartender wait staff were awesome. We ordered calamari, a beet salad and blackened red snapper in a ponzu sauce. All were amazing. The calamari was not their usual style but still excellent. Might be my favorite...grand strand restaurant.More

Why is this place not #1?! One of the few places in Murrells Inlet that has an extensive menu beyond deep-fried. And it’s fabulous! Eat at the bar. Kayla and Jesse rock it!
