We were in the Charleston area recently for a family wedding. Our first night there, we hosted a small family dinner for nine, at the Old Village Post House. I had originally planed to host a bridal luncheon, but plans changed & the staff at the Post House was right with me, even down to ordering special floral arrangements for... More

This restaurant is tucked away on a quiet street, so you'll never just stumble across it -- but it's definitely worth checking out. We had a delicious dinner, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and quiet enough to be a good choice for a romantic dinner too.

This place is so over priced, overrated, and service so bad it's not funny. As a frequent visitor to the Charleston area, I love Husk, Cypress, SNOB, Blossom, Halls, FIG, etc. While the venue itself is great, everything else was awful. I consider myself a foodie and would not go back and eat there again if it was free.

We’ve never been disappointed at the Old Village Post House. There may be new chefs and new owners, but the consistency prevails. Expect a mainstay menu of house favorites plus a few special, fresh items each week. OVPH remains very popular with the locals and regular visitors, so reservations are a must. The pace is fast, the service very attentive... More

Great food and good service. We were seated upstairs under the mini split air conditioner and battled the cold air blowing down on us. The staff tried to make it more comfortable for us but never really succeeded. Avoid that table. Downstairs is much nicer in my opinion.

An excellent dinner meal with family. Charming setting and wonderful food. Service was impeccable. Located in a beautiful neighborhood which warrants a stroll during the day.

Business party of 4 on a recent visit. We each had a different entree and all were very good. Salmon, ribeye, short ribs and scallops. Nice wine by the glass menu. Great service. This was my 6th or 7th visit and it is always spot on.

We ate here with our children when staying in Mount Pleasant. As we are used to expensive restaurants in NY this was over the top. Food was definitely good, but kids menu lacked, and was still expensive for a grilled cheese. It also seemed a bit stuffy for our taste. Very cool building though, and staff was very pleasant!

My husband & I had Fathers Day brunch here and this restaurant is consistently good. We both had egg dishes eggs Benedict gluten free and eggs over easy. Both with delicious sides. We enjoy eating here. Great food, great service, great environment. Katy, the manager is awesome.

We grabbed dinner at Old Village Post House Inn during a trip to Charleston. We were pleasantly surprised. We instantly fell in love with neighborhood and had a wonderful dining experience on the patio. The food was fresh and delicious and Jack took great care of us!! (Photo includes the vegetable plate... So tasty!) The grouper was amazing too.
