Great sushi!! The daily deals are well worth it! Prices are reasonable as well. Yummy jalapeño margarita! Would return for sure!

The sushi is very creative and amazingly tasty. I had the Pacific, Mango, and the Strawberry Fields. All delicious and fresh. We sat on the patio which had great ambiance with the swamp in the background and turtles and ducks.

Yes.. the sushi is discounted. But the fish is small, and the quality sushi rolls are still at full price. This restaurant is nice, but the discounted sushi is no real value. I suggest that you pay full price and enjoy real sushi.

After visiting Boone Hall Plantation, we decided to stop at 'Locals Bar' for lunch and it was well worth it. Not only were the portions well received, but the flavors of both sushi rolls we ordered, were exceptional! And to top it off, our fried...calamari/shrimp appetizer was to die! It is located within a nice shopping area worth the trip, and the service was up to par.More

Highly recommend Locals in Mt. Pleasant SC for sushi. It is a sushi restaurant with indoor and outdoor service and half price sushi on Mondays. Ate outdoors with social distancing. Our friendly knowledgable server wore mask.

Best Sushi in Mt Pleasant. The Ceviche is better than St Barth’s! Everything is Unique, Fresh, and Flavorful. I want the ginger salad dressing recipe. You will not be disappointed!

Food needs to be served while hot. I ordered two tacos. Both were cold upon arrival. I told waitress and she graciously took them and apologized and said she’d order fresh ones. It took nearly a half hour for the new order of tacos to...arrive and again they were COLD. I sent them back and didn’t try again. She and the manager did give us a free drink but what I wanted was to eat but, alas, that was not meant to be last night. Is it me or am I wrong, once a customer states food is cold when served wouldn’t you ensure the next time you would get the food to customer while it’s hot?More

Our meal at Locals started out with a HUGE bang The wife and I started out with an order of Seaweed Salad for both of us. The salad was very fresh, that had a nice pungent and not overly sweet flavor profile. The Fish Taco,...that included Blackened white fish, wasabi slaw sliced avocado with a soy glaze & wasabi aioli might be the best fish taco that either of us ever enjoyed Unfortunately, the sushi we ordered did not measure up the same. First the fish itself is very fresh, and the presentation is beautiful. Based on the make up of the individual rolls it appears problem is, Locals goes out of their way to make their rolls different with disappointing results. Because they are two of our favorites, the wife and I always order a spider and 2 ell hand rolls. Locals fills their spider roll with cream cheese, Ours roll had more cream cheese than actual crab that resulted in mouth full of cream cheese that overwhelmed the now the mushy fried crab. There was no indication that the ell roll, while pretty, would be wrapped a thickish tough to chew pink soy based wrap. I recommend the restaurant give dinners a choice because we would have both requested to a nori wrap. Again, unique to Locals the roll was filled with an enormous amount of Lettuces, which like the spider roll, totally overwhelmed the ell. Even after removing about around 1/2 the lettuces it was still all I could taste. In a recurring theme: While beautiful all could we tasted was on the Sunkist roll was lemon, instead of the Fresh Tuna, Salmon, cucumber and Avocado, the Sunkist. It was a bit odd that the lemon was so powerful, since there were only a few slices on top which we removed before eating. And last the Pacific roll of Yellowtail, cilantro, cucumber was overpowered by the jalapeño peppers With such fresh fish an attention to detail on plating, it is a shame Locals subtracts from these dishes, by adding something just to be unique.More

Popped in late on a weekday and found some of the best sushi I have ever had. Hung out with some of the staff after close at the bar and had a great time. Friendly environment and great food with a cool vibe. I will...definitely head back next time I am in town!More

After spending almost $70.00 for 1 person. I usually order for my wife a couple of times a year. My wife's birthday was on Sunday 8/4/2019. After asking for recommendations from the bartender, I ordered what she suggested, almost $70.00 for 1 person. My wife...who loves sushi proceeded to throw at least twice, after this marvelous dinner. I personally want to thank Locals for ruining my wife's birthday. Hopefully, people will read this review and save themselves the discomfort and expense of eating their sushi.More

It is literally just like a bar. ..with good sushi. I usually go in the evening/late evening and I wouldn't take children then. Maybe earlier in the day you could?
