The assistant to one of the facilities was covering in the Daniel Island location area and though My husband who is a veteran and cannot wear mask was told to wear one or no service was a Slap in the face... When did this happen...and did she read the mandate at all??? He has been working since February making respirators during the pandemic and had been going to this little café for a long time and had always been treated kindly now was faced with a person named Danielle who on the day that the mask mandate in Mount Pleasant was lifted was told no service without walking in with a mask... she was not trying to be polite in Any Way! I truly believe that she was on a power trip to try to force someone to do something that is not a criminal offense it is a mandate it is not a law and if she did not want me in her facility or to serve me she should’ve been very knowledgeable about what she was doing and read the instructions on people who cannot wear a mask. ( she could have even offered to ask me to sit outside and she would come out and serve me if I did not have a mask but did nothing to save me as a customer.) I went to have my usual breakfast but no one was there that I normally deal with... Danielle did NOT greet me or apologize but just said I had to have a mask to come in the store and that she would not serve me without a mask. I ask her if she had one as when the pandemic first started and we went there they had them in a bowl 2 buy. My husband who is a Veteran of war and exposed to agent orange and a deviated septum cannot wear a mask and part of the mandate is if someone medically cannot wear a mask you cannot refuse them service. ( I should get a lawyer as to me this was discrimination to its fullest.) I looked around in the small café where people were sitting less than 6 feet away at tables and not one out of the seven customers 7 to 10 customers did not have a mask she said I had to walk in with it order and then when I went to sit at my table I could take it off but did not have one for me to buy. She may have not realized the mandate had already lifted in Mount Pleasant and she may not have been educated and read the rules on people who cannot wear a mask but none of that was as awful as her clapping her hands together and telling me she would not serve me without a mask after I had been going there discovering the place in February when we were sent to Charleston to make respirators for the pandemic. She was unprofessional she was mean her attitude was nasty and I would probably not recommend this place. She ruined my Saturday morning breakfast nook for probably a while. She told us we could go to another location where they had mask which as she embarrassed us so badly we did not want to go back in. I called the other location and spoke to a nice gentleman who I had seen in the restaurant a few times and I was even there when they were doing some thing and the owner was on the phone and I did not have a mask on and no one was rude enough to not serve us because my husband medically cannot wear a mask. ( Jane a lovely person was always kind to us and I had a conversation with her one time about the picture in the bathroom of a blond headed woman and she said that picture was bought because it look like the owner. Well if the owner gets this review please forgive me for doing it this way but Danielle would not give me any information to contact you) I don’t know what this girls problem is but I do not think she should be a manager of any sort and I do not think she should work for your company as well she has scarred me for probably a long time. I found my little heaven during the pandemic where I could go and it is not a very big place but it’s really how she handled it and how she clapped her hands together in almost a threatening manner and then Got loud and nasty with me when I never raise my voice to her I just tried to tell her that she was being extremely unfair and had no right to treat me the way she did. I do hope she is demoted. I will probably not go back there until I know the owner is aware of how I was treated. We have spent a lot of money there an eaten there almost twice in one week since February and the food is not cheap If the owner gets this I apologize for Danielle not giving me any way to contact you. When I ask her for a way to contact a manager or owner or anybody that I could tell how she was treating me she would not give me any informationMore

As a longtime patron of Saveurs du Monde Cafe, we hope you know this is not the way we aim to treat our valued guests and we are very disappointed to read about your experience. Providing polite, helpful service, as well as excellent food, is...More

We came because we liked the other location, but this one is not the same as the other. The AC was not working well. The selection of pastries was not as Good as the other location. They over-warmed the quiche( my boyfriend says burnt). The...almond quiche was too sweet. The ambiance is not as cheery and sunny as the other location.More

Coffee products are good. Second visit. Had the waffle this time and it was dense and not light and fluffy.

My wife had oral surgery this week and was very limited in what she could eat. We wanted some breakfast and soft food to eat. We discovered this place in Mount Pleasant so we decided to try some place new. So glad we did! We...ordered croissants. Mine had cheese, bacon and eggs. My wife ordered a plain on. They were delicious and so fresh. We also ordered French toast with whipped cream. It was so soft that it would melt in your mouth. I hear that they may be coming to Summerville...Nexton. We hope they do!More

This little shop has delicious crepes, pastries and desserts. I stopped there yesterday for a berries crepe and cappuccino. In the past I have enjoyed their croissants and breakfast rolls. Everything there is delicious. Even the OJ tastes fresh squeezed. Things are a little more...laid back on weekdays. On the Saturdays I have stopped by in the morning, they have been pretty busy.More

This cafe reminded me of a Paris cafe. The galettes (savory crepes) were delicious and the pastries were excellent. Gluten free crepes and desserts were also available. I would highly recommend this cafe to others.

My husband and I frequently talk about how wonderful the croissants and especially the chocolate croissants were in Paris and how we couldn’t find anything close in USA, until now! In addition to the wonderful chocolate croissants (we had 2 there and had 2 to...go), we very much enjoyed the quiche, and our ham and cheese croissant sandwich. They brought our 5 and 3 year old “espresso shots” (chocolate milk) in espresso glasses and made us feel very welcome. We also purchased a dozed macaroons to enjoy later that were wonderful. We will be back.More

I have been home about 5 days from vacationing in France and was missing the food. Decided to try Saveurs du Monde and I was not disappointed. Filled that void that I needed. The quiche lorraine was excellent. Fluffy and tasty. Tried the mushroom bisque...which was also very good. Loved the homemade lemon curd on a sweet crepe. Got a pain au raisin to go and it too was perfect. Family run cafe. Wonderful customer service. Friendly, attentive and warm. I definitely will return.More

Went here to grab a bite before heading from our hotel in Mt. Pleasant to downtown Charleston. The bacon, egg, and cheese croissant was delicious. I could have eaten 2 more of those. Also ordered the berry crepe with the homemade jam. It was also...delicious with loads of fresh berries. My iced coffee and my wife's cappuccino were both tasty as well. There was only two people working (one up front and one in the kitchen, so it took a little bit longer for our food to be ready. It wasn't long enough to be a bother so we didn't think anything of it. However, the very nice employee even gave us each free pastry for our wait. This was a nice little find. It is just off the road and hidden in a little shopping area, so keep your eyes peeled and you will find it.More

Breakfast is better than anywhere else local. Fresh ingredients, creatively presented. Best pastries and croissants in the low country. Go ahead and have dessert. It will be worth it. Vegetarian friendly, great coffee.

Not sure why all of the rave reviews. This was the worst food we’ve ever had in Charleston and we visit frequently! We went there and found that outside of the crepes, everything is pre-produced foods that they just warm up. When you walk in,...it doesn’t smell like goods are being baked and food is actually being cooked. The scrambled eggs were made in the microwave and yes, they were disgusting. For the price, we were better off eating breakfast at our hotel. Lesson learned.More

Love this little cafe. Whenever we are in town this is our first stop for breakfast or lunch. It is walking distance from where we stay near Belle Hall. On this visit we enjoyed the banana, lemon curd and nutella crepes! The next day we...returned for quiche and one of their savory crepes. I know we will be back before we head home.More

We were back in Mount Pleasant and decided a French breakfast was in order. We stopped in at one of our go to spots, the Saveurs Du Monde Belle Station and feasted on croissants, turnovers and quiche. Earlier this year this cafe was purchased by...its bigger brother of the same name over in the Seaside location. It remains a great place to grab an awesome breakfast and coupled with its bigger brother, it offers great service and many tasty pastries. We even came back days later having preordered several dessert pastries for a dinner party we were hosting. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed them all.More
