This restaurant had been a part of Lancaster for a lot of years. This tiny, little hole-in-the-wall kind of place but the food will keep you coming back. I had what I consider a traditional breakfast of grits and eggs with a rasher of extra...crispy bacon. A clean plate, a satisfied palate, a full tummy, and after tip, change from a $10. That is a good breakfast.More

We both had the cheeseburger and it was awesome!!! You can either choose the plate or just the sandwich. Will return.

So we have never had issues at Samdo's concerning patty size on the burgers but today they were really small. Other than that it was the usual great meal with the best fries in town...but because of the shrunken patties I will have to give...it an average this time!More

Stopped in to grab lunch with a coworker of mine because he says that they make the best hamburgers around. While the burger was good the size of it made me think it should have been a little cheaper than it was. The burger was...no bigger than the size of a balled up fist which made it undersized for the bun. They give a huge helping of fries but that did not make up for it. My meal cost 8.41 for a burger, fries and a coke. My coworker only had the pattie melt sandwich and a tea no sides. His was only 20 cents cheaper. And to top it off they do not have a card reader but they do have a atm in the corner. I will not be returning to this establishment, while the food was good it was not any better than other places around and it was way over priced for what you get.More

Been here on a few occasions since moving to town, we’ve come with the kids and most recently without but only for breakfast so far. The service is always friendly, the food come out fast and delicious every time! Now we just need to try...other meals! :) PS - the pancakes are HUGE and the best I’ve ever had.More

Stopped by for a good start to the morning with a hearty breakfast. As always, Sambo's delivered. Been stopping here for years and will continue to do so for many more.

Every time I eat here I leave full and happy. The menu is full with legendary burgers and the roast pork sandwich is always a crowd pleaser. I encourage everyone to stop in and try the special of the day or what catches your eye....👍👍😋😋

Ok, I've got to say when we read the TA reviews we were interested. When we pulled up and there were no other cars we had second thoughts and almost left. But we are, if nothing else, adventuresome foodies. MAN, were we happy we found...our way beyond the worn curb appeal! This is a 62 year old family business in the original unadulterated, "historical" if you will, drive-in building when 903 was a big highway years before an Interstate. A time-traveling adventure to goodness. While you get a hint of nostalgia in upscale "1950's styled" restaurant chains... this is the way it really was 60 years ago. And I wouldn't change ANYTHING in the decor! Time worn, but spotlessly clean, perfection. If only 62 year old humans aged as gracefully! And, now, the food... Fantastic. Huge servings. AMAZING Patty-Melt. FANTASTIC burgers acknowledged by Garden and Guns magazine. Ashley our waitress was super and had impeccable suggestions. When the owner found out we were first timers, he came over and visited. Perfect southern hospitality. Great menu at great prices. And this will NOT be the last time we eat here. HIGHLY recommended for roadside food as it was, and still is, at Sambo's as a trip back into a bygone era where Southern charm and hospitality still lives.More

This is a good place for breakfast and burgers. It is not a fancy place but the food is good. It has been there for 50 years or more.
