Going out Savannah Highway from Charleston it is easy to miss this gem. It is just past the very busy Main Highway intersection on the left as you drive away from the city. It is quite nondescript and just see the out side patio and...More

Hole in the wall feel. Great food. Lots of twists on local favorites. Shrimp and grits is a local classic. They pull fresh shrimp down on the coast daily. This version adds pimento to the grits. Tasty. Everything well made. Friendly staff.

My family went to Father's Day brunch during a Kiawah vacation. The place is very quaint with lots of personality - not fancy. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The most popular item with my family was the eggs benedict - they all seemed...More

This restaurant's exterior does not scream "wonderful food inside". The bun of the day - oriental chicken, was scrumptious. The French fries were out of this world. Delightful place to stop outside Charleston!

We've been stopping for an occasional lunch for a few years now. We have not dined there during their dinner service. It is a small place, so sometimes a bit crowded. Their meals and sides are incredible. We have a hard time not getting the...More

Quaint atmosphere with delicious food. Excellent service. Salmon with dill sauce , grouper, and fried shrimp were enjoyed. Candied brussel sprouts are to die for! Salad dressings are homemade.

The tree is not at the restaurant --- there are many things in the area named "Angel Oak" --- but I can tell you there is no fee to see the tree!

No Microwaves. No Freezers. Angel Oak works very close with local farmers and distributors. Angel Oak has a casual full lunch menu with romantic southern shabby chic atmosphere at night. Serving brunch on Sundays. The food is affordable and innovative. Angel Oak takes pride in the influences of southern low country cooking while keeping a fun approach.
