Glad we visited...can check this one off the list. Marinara sauce and beet salad were very good, appetizers (mussels, calamari) were extremely salty. One main dish was very bland, the other, gnocchi, was good. Expensive for the quality, in our opinion. Service was good.

Wonderful dinner and dessert. 3rd time visiting from out of town. Food, service and atmosphere were excellent as always.

We stopped here for dinner on a Sunday evening and were delightfully surprised. Our waitress Nicole was efficient and answered every question we had about the menu. While our meals and wine were excellent, a standout was the calamari appetizer! We will probably be back!

Fortunate to dine at the The Wild Olive while on vacation in Charleston. Fantastic experience. Our waiter, John, was absolutely the politest, genuinely concerned, and pleasant waiter ever. He LOVES his job and you can tell. He happily explained any questions we had about the menu. The food was delicious. This is a five-star restaurant from service to food to... More

Our group of 7 wondered in without reservations. We were given a 'high top long table' in the bar area and it worked out fine. Jonathan our waiter was nice and just-right on the attentitive scale. We were appreciative they worked us in rather than making us wait. The food was ALL REALLY GOOD! Interesting daily specials-YUM!!! No one complained... More

They have half portions. Not really for beach wear. Or small kids . Great wine selection. Incredible deserts. The waitress was very knowledgeable and kind. Excellent service.

We made reservations and did have to sit a moment...but they make sure your table is set with ice water and menus. Nice touch. We ordered risotto balls with sausage, spinach and mozzarella. They were piping hot and accompanied by a very mild sauce,,,it may have been tomato based but we loved them. Great crunch and molten cheese with just... More

Each yearly visit to Kiawah requires a stop at the wild olive. The food is fresh and in many cases locally sourced. The wine list is reasonably priced with several special offerings under $20/bottle. For starters try the grilled octopus, superb. The bruschetta offering was a different take on a classic and well received. Entries included a lamb lasagna, very... More

Food & service was mediocre . Arrived at our early reservation on time. We were told that it would be a 10 to 15 min wait before we could be seated. ( there were only 2 other tables occupied , in the whole restaurant ) When taken to our table , we were offered a table in the middle of... More

From the paver stone parking lot to the welcoming champagne celebration of our anniversary event, really special place. Restaurant appears to be a converted residence with wood tables and Italian decor. Wait staff very personable without hovering or rushing. Food-mmmm!! Bruschetta had fresh corn and was wonderful start to our meal. Lasagna was tasty and so was the special! Prices... More
