This restaurant didn't look like much when we saw it in the strip mall, but when you entered it, it was very charming and inviting. Our server was Liz and she did an amazing job. There were 7 of us and the service was excellent. The food was outstanding. I wish it was a chain so I could go again,... More

My wife & I were driving thru the aisle of palms sightseeing and decided to stop for lunch. We found the Long Island Cafe and stopped there for lunch, glad we did! Lunch was delicious, we are from Kansas City so we decided to order different things and split it for lunch. My wife had a bowl of "she crab"... More

We have been vacationing on the Isle of Palms for years and finally decided to try dinner at Long Island Café. Boy am I glad we did. The café was full when we arrived at 7:30 on a Saturday night. We had a reservation, so we were seated immediately. Reservations are “strongly encouraged” by the café and that appears to... More

The café was not very crowded on a Monday at lunchtime. Maybe dinner is their busy time? Anyway, that was fine with me. I had a cup of shrimp and corn chowder which was tasty and just the right consistency. Then I had a small portion of fried oysters and broiled scallops. Each was cooked perfectly, and even the side... More

This restaurant is quite nice. The food is simple but tasty and well prepared. The wine list is short but respectable.

Absolutely amazing refined cuisine! They turn a salad into something I'd order daily because it was made exquisitely- broiled with sublime flavour! The actual quality is all fresh and certainly not out of a box. I had salad, wreck fish and cake. All were amazing!

A good choice when on Isle of Palm. Thirty years ago, it was a favorite when vacationing on IOP and our recent dinner proved that it has withstood the test of time. Reasonable prices, friendly service this is a casual restaurant with good food. Grilled fresh fish offerings on the menu, along with other favorites. She Crab Soup, Crab Cakes,... More

We've been coming here on vacation since 1989 - before Hurricane Hugo. We've dined at every place that has come and gone. Most were eminently forgettable...except for LIC. It just gets better and better as time passes. The food will compete with anything in The Holy City, and the service is professional but polite and casual as suits the atmosphere.... More
