Restaurant following all CoVid guidelines appropriately. Food is the star here. Very inventive takes on standard pasta entrees. My pasta dish combined steak, shrimp, and andouille sausage with a spicy cream sauce which was outstanding. All other choices by our party of four also deemed...very good. A few minor disconnects - entrees are not offered with a side such as a salad, no bread offered with the meal, etc. As I said the food is what draws you here. Service is OK but not as attentive as you would hope in restaurant of this caliber. They certainly need a new mixologist behind the bar - a simple gin and tonic was poorly mixed and presented.More

We were spending one night in a hotel and wanted a hot dinner to eat in our room. The Bistro was barely five minutes from our hotel and the online menu looked good. I phoned around 6 on a Friday evening, and the friendly hostess...told me the specials and took my order. I picked up and paid for our delicious dinner twenty minutes later. Very good choice.More

Our hotel staff recommended this restaurant and it was really good food and good service. We had the fried green tomato burger and bayou pasta. Both were delicious. If we are traveling through here again we will definitely stop here again.

Tried this for first time last week with a large group. The food was good, fish well cooked and nice plate presentation. Good wine list. We were put in a large area that was in a back area. . Could hear the music but could...see the performers. Think this area should be opened to see the performers. Just my opinion. Would like to return as a smaller party to fully appreciate this experience.More

I had heard so much about the food and ambiance here so I decided to check it out one night with my significant other on a Friday night. It was busy when I arrived so I thought that it would live up to the hype....Many people had mentioned the cocktails so I got the signature Citrus Basil Manhattan and it was just so-so in my opinion. The service was outstanding but I expect to be wowed by the food and ambiance for the prices I paid and I just was not wowed. We started off with the Voodoo Skillet, which had a decent flavor but was overpriced for the portion size...$14 for a plate of a few steak tips and a a few pieces of shrimp...it was 85% onions and peppers. I think I got about 3-4 bites of meat when split with my significant other. My SO ordered the sirloin filet entree and I ordered a bowl of she crab soup and the crab cakes (two appetizers I combined into an entree). The crab cakes were excellent but the she crab soup was very average and did not contain much crab to speak of (I don't expect a ton of lump crab for $6, just more than a couple of shreds in a bowl soup(versus a cup). The sirloin was decently prepared but his pimento grits were extremely bland. In conclusion...if I am paying $70 for an appetizer, entrees, and a couple of drinks for two, I just expect to walk away wishing that I could eat like they almost everyday and it was utterly forgettable to me. I would not go out of my way to return here so I wouldn't recommend you go out of your way to try it out either. Also the cover band they had playing on Friday Night wasn't good and brought down the ambiance to me (which wasn't any nicer than your average chain restaurant).More

Pretty hopping bar scene, pretty place and an interesting menu. First disappointment was the wine list. Not ONE Cabernet Savignon. This is probably the most highly regarded wine there is, not necessarily expensive, so it was pretty surprising to find NONE. My husband had the...braised pork with mashed potatoes and collards, a winner all around. I had the she crab soup, a tiny bit of crab and even less flavor, stay away from it. I also had the fried green tomatoes topped with fried shrimp and a pretty good sauce. Shrimp were good, tomatoes without flavor. Server tried hard, nice guy, but tables are not assigned according to location, so he was all over the pretty large restaurant rather than having tables closer to one another. It's too bad when restaurants do this, must be hard for servers to do a good job when their tables are far apart. Highlight of the evening was the TERRIFIC singer/guitar player. Very talented and a great play list. I'll be back to hear him, but not for dinner.More

Ordered appetizers and didn’t have a chance to finish them begins entrees arrived way to early. Brussels sprouts were soggy, the flounder was tasty but drowned in butter and our waiter had zero personality. Otherwise the ambiance was nice and the place filled up quickly...especially the bar for 50 somethings to listen to live music. Owner came around to chit chat which was nice. We may go back for jazz night in Thursday’s.More
