When a restaurant comes this highly recommended, you just HAVE to try it... right? Especially if you’re visiting an elderly aunt and when you mention the name of the restaurant she says Yes Please! Can you bring me take-out? :)
We called in our order and the staff were lovely even over the phone! We mentioned a special offer for a free bottle of wine with purchases over $50 and they were happy to oblige — bonus!
Our food (all ordered from their special and very good value Early Dining menu) was ready within 25 minutes and we carried back two large bags to our aunt’s apartment about 10 minutes away. Both my hubby and aunt had ordered seafood dishes and were in heaven with the taste! My husband couldn’t stop raving about his steak and crab meat — and ate it as slowly as possible to ensure he could savor every single second of it. He also wondered... if the food was this good for take-out, imagine how good dining in would be! I ordered the mushroom risotto — and whilst it was very tasty and the perfect consistency, I did find it a bit too “mushroomy”. The WG salad that came with it was awesome, especially the pecans!
Will definitely have to try dining in next time!

We ate here on 8/20 @ 7:30pm. We had originally requested outside, but as we walked by those tables , there was NO social distancing whatsoever. When we entered we requested an indoor table and stated there was no distancing outside - Mgr gave No reply to that, and asked if a booth would do. We were seated in a back room both, approximately 3 feet from the next , and the room was full. Restaurant not practicing distancing , nor the 50% capacity rule. We were promptly brought waters and bread. Greeted by our server Josh, who was masked and doing a great job! He gave us good suggestions and was busy but still attentive. We were slightly apprehensive about the distancing. Patrons were also waking in common areas with NO mask. Though I did not notice immediately, my teen son pointed out that the kitchen staff was not masked, We could see the kitchen from our booth. We were trying to decide if we should cancel order and leave , but stayed. The food was good, especially the peppercorn crusted steak , macaroni and cheese, creamed spinach , and fabulous creme brûlée sampler. Unfortunately a cloud of uncertainty marred our experience. I took pictures of unmaked employees, and when we left we saw the bartender also had NO mask( uggg, and I ordered a martini!). Disappointed that we spent over $300 and the restaurant does not adhere or enforce the basic Covid safety requirements.

While searching for a Hilton Head Steakhouse on-line, 2 weeks prior to our trip, WiseGuys appeared to be the place to go. The Main Street shopping center location gave me second thoughts as about 95% of the shops in the center were closed when we scoped out the site the day before our reservation. I am glad we didn't change to one of the fancy ad restaurants in the tourist restaurant books. The outside of WiseGuys is deceptive, looking like a typical beach joint, but once we entered, that changed. The interior is typical of finer steakhouses. We were seated promptly and our waitress Cecilia, took our drink order and provided warm bread with 2 variations of dipping oil. She explained the differences and reviewed the menu with us, answering our few questions. My wife bypassed any appetizer, anticipating a filling dinner. I continued my "quest to find the best" She Crab soup on the island. I think I finally did. WiseGuys' version was not as creamy or milky white as most I have sampled. It was a shade of tan and a bit spicy. Loved it! For our entree, we ordered the Porterhouse for 2, consisting of the Filet Mignon and Strip Steak combined. With that, you get 4 sides. We chose spinach and mushrooms for my wife and greenbeans and a baked potato for me. The steak was cooked medium rare to perfection, as ordered. It was tasty and practically melted in your mouth! The sides were all delicious. Throughout the meal, Cecilia checked on us and gave us the feeling that she really wanted us to have a first class dining experience. For dessert, my wife had a Key Lime Martini while I enjoyed ice cream and cappuccino. This was indeed that first class dining experience!

We are locals. Always one of our favorite restaurants we have been sorely disappointed for the second time in a row with WG’s. Service and quality were lacking in that we waited almost 1 1/2 hours to be served food that was no longer hot and barely warm while those around us were served. Returned plates to kitchen; came back only slightly warmer with a fish entre dry from reheating. Very similar to a previous trip with guests.

Excellent service, nice atmosphere although the music was just a little too loud. Our server was very professional and helpful. We both opted for the early dinner option ( before 5:30). My salad was absolutely delicious with cashews, cranberries, greens and a tasty dressing. My chicken parmesan was delicious and the portion large. The pasta was perfectly cooked although the sauce was just a little bland. Still delicious. My wife ❤️ her she-crab soup. Her filet mignon was cooked as requested and delicious. She had the chocolate lava cake for dessert. It was moist and delicious and our coffees were freshly brewed and pipping hot! The early menu has about 5 choices for an entree, several different salads or 2 soups and a non alcoholic beverage for $18.95. You can add a glass of white or red wine for just $5.00 more. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was upscale and all in all a wonderful dinner. When we return to Hilton Head Island, we will undoubtedly return to Wiseguys!! Highly recommend

My wife and I traveled to Hilton Head for the first time ever to celebrate our 20th anniversary, so I did my research on restaurants and based on other reviews I chose WiseGuys for a Saturday night steak dinner celebration. This turned out to be a huge mistake. When I made the reservation the young lady asked me if we were celebrating any special occasions and I told her in fact we were celebrating 20 years of marriage and I wanted the night to be special . I received a call from the restaurant earlier on the day of our dinner, presumably to confirm the reservation, and was told again that they had us down for 7:30 and celebrating our 20 year anniversary, I felt like it would be a good night.
We arrived about 10 minutes early for our reservation and when we walked up to the hostess counter and told the young lady our name and reservation time she didn’t make any mention of our anniversary and just turned with menus and walked away, guess we were just supposed to follow her.
Well she walked about 10 feet and sat us at a tiny table for two in the bar! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!
There was a high top table with six people crowded at it , so close to us that one woman’s hair was literally hanging down over on our side .
The look on my wife’s face said it all, I returned to the hostess stand and asked a different girl if we could get a different table, told her my name again in the hopes it would trigger the fact that, hey we are here for a special occasion, just check our reservation. Still no acknowledgement although she did move us to the main dining room to a corner table , only after the original young lady walked up and asked why she was moving us and then walked away in an obvious huff.
The new table was much better and we settled into our dinner, waiter came over and still zero acknowledgement of our anniversary, but hey whatever maybe they don’t go for that here let’s just enjoy our meal.
My Wife had French onion soup and I had she crab, both were good. I ordered the Delmonico ribeye and wife got the filet Oscar. My steak had good flavor , but was filled with sinew and thick strips of fat that made it tough to eat, I’ve had plenty of great steaks in my time and this thing wouldn’t make the top 100 , certainly not what I was expecting.
At this point I was 100% done , staff cleared the table and I was expecting maybe one last chance that these guys would at least attempt to salvage our celebration dinner, but the waiter only asked if we wanted to see a desert menu and when we declined that, the check soon followed.
We watched one group receive a dessert with a candle for a birthday celebration, so they do recognize special occasions, just not ours.
So we left disappointed and totally unimpressed and me with zero chance to redo a special event.
Sorry I trusted these guys to such a big moment .
Hope this review will save someone else from the same fate.

This used to be one of our favorites. What a difference this year. I have never had a bowl of She Crab Soup that I didn’t finish, until now! The soup was thin, full of shells and enough salt for another couple of pots of soup. Compared to other similar restaurants, the food was just not up to par. The charcuterie board was nothing compared to the one next door at Frankie Bones. The chicken parm was greasy and unlike other Serge restaurants, they were not very accommodating with special requests. We have been coming here for a number of years, but this will not be on our agenda next time we visit the island. Such a disappointment....not sure what happened!

We visited with or Supper Club of 8 people. My wife and I both ordered off of the Early Bird menu. She had the Filet with Crab and I had the Surf and Turf - both were very good. My wife loved her 'medium rare' filet which was cooked to perfection, also loved the Crab. My Block steak was also delicious, the Shrimp were fried and very good but nothing exceptional. The dining room filled up quickly but our waitress, Nancy, was always there and the pace was leisurely, just right for socializing. Everyone was happy with their meals and the service.

We ordered the calamari/shrimp appetizer, and it was delicious! A thoughtful touch included was a small paper "to-go" box in the event we didn't finish it. We both ordered filets. The fresh spinach had a touch too much fresh garlic, but the asaparagus spears and crab meat on my Steak Oscar were excellent! Highly recommend this place!

My family of 3 found the menu with many tempting options. The cocktail drinks were great. The food arrived at a nice pace & was all very good. My husband thought his 3 scallop risotto dish was overpriced at $27. Service was friendly & prompt - wearing gloves not masks.

Great steaks, service and ambiance. The NY Strip was fantastic and cooked to perfection. My wife had the chef special steak, with a sweet potato mash which was excellent. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff surprised us with a warm chocolate brownie covered with ice cream, chocolate and caramel. A great way to end a superb meal.

Wise Choice! We took a party of 13 to wise guys. Table of 9 serviced beautifully plus a table of 4 teens nearby. Many of us enjoyed selections from the early bird menu $18.95-20.95 includes salad or soup plus a modest sized entree. Table favorites: shrimp and grits, chicken Parmesan, petite filet and crab cake (both VERY petite), ribeye. Several shared desserts - all homemade and all amazing. Don’t miss the massive ganache laden cheesecake, bread pudding and lava cake!all left full and happy. Noteworthy: fantastic wine list with stellar options by the glass (prisoner, caymus, etc). Will definitely return.

Delicious food, very good service and a nice atmosphere. The meal is served at a nice pace so you won’t feel rushed. Wise Guys has everything needed for a pleasant dining experience. It is a go to restaurant for a special occasion dinner. Usually crowded so I suggest calling for reservations to get a table at the time you want.

Our anniversary dinner at WiseGuys was incredibly disappointing. We made a reservation in advance for the special occasion to enjoy a nice quiet dinner, and instead were seated very close to a large group for a birthday party with a screaming baby when there were several other empty tables in the restaurant. My steak was flavorless, and tough to cut. It was basically inedible. They gave me the incorrect side dish and then charged me for an extra side when they brought out the correct one. We had 3 different servers come to our table asking if we needed anything and put in our dessert order, which also came out wrong and missing the ice cream? I don't know if they are trying to improve efficiency by having multiple people serve the same table, but it seems they lacked communication because one didn't know what the other was doing. Not worth the price or disappointment.

Wise Guys is probably a little less know but a little more upscale then the other Serg restaurants on Hilton Head Island. You will want to have a reservation at this popular bistro, and can do so by calling or Open Table.
Food and service are both excellent and we recommend our favorite server,Josh. He is personable (remembers us and what we like whenever we come in) and is attentive without being overbearing. By all means ask for his table.
It is located off Main Steet attached to the Hilton Head location of Frankie Bones near Hilton Head Plantation.
Thought of as primarily a steak house, their seafood and Italian are both delightful. We had Chicken Parm made with Bolognaise sauce (fabulous) and Salmon also a treat.
One other thought, they have a chocolate fondue to share for desert which is excellent and a fun way to finish your meal and have more time together. We never feel rushed there. Plenty for four diners.
