The ambiance is great at the open-air hacienda restaurant. The non-renovated hacienda off the highway makes a great spot while traveling around south of Merida for lunch. The restaurant is buffet style with many Yucatecan options to choose from. The food is pretty good. The vaporcitos (tamales) and the salsas were quite delicious, as were the handmade tortillas. I'm a... More

We stopped in for lunch since we had some time to kill before checking in to Hacienda Temozon (owned by same company) just up the road. This is not a restored hacienda, but the grounds have been landscaped and the old buildings tastefully re-purposed into an open-air (covered) restaurant. Several smaller buildings along the old cart tracks have been restored... More

The Hacienda Ochil was a luxurious and productive sisal plantation at the turn of the 20th century. Now it is a fascinating free museum, and serves an excellent lunch buffet offering a selection every Yucatan specialty. A wonderful stopover.

We stopped at this hacienda after visiting the Uxmal ruins. We went off of the recommendation of our inn and it was spot on. The lunch was buffet but very fresh. Handmade tortillas were brought to our table. All of the dishes were flavorful and interesting. The hacienda itself was beautiful and peaceful. There is a cenote close by that... More

This is a nice place to have lunch and visit an hacienda. The food is really good and the hacienda has an amphitheatre that is worth to have a look. If you are on your way to merida or Uxmal, this is a good stop to have something to eat, drink and relax.

An absolute gem in the Yucatan that dates back to the 1600's. This place was beautiful and the food was delicious along with fresh hibiscus juice. The history behind the hacienda made a great story. A great place to visit!

Food and service at the restaurant were wonderful. The old buildings are beautiful. There is a cenote that you can't swim in but lovely view. An outdoor amphitheater has been built around the cenote and would be great for concerts.

I wish I had taken pictures of my food. Everything was delicious we had a plate of tostadas, guacamole, sausage, home made tortillas, cheese, beer, margaritas. The salsas are amazing. Definitely recommend it.
