My husband and I visited here for our Anniversary. The great scenery of tradition caught our eyes. Beautiful interior. A few minutes later the owner Danish was approaching us, he was very hospitable, attentive and well-mannered. We were seated very quicky, with appetizers served promptly to our table. Danish was a great host, he kept my husband and I laughing and gave us a knowledgeable overview of Indo- Pakistani culture. The environment was very comfortable, relaxing, with extremely amazing entrees; fresh and full of unique flavors. This was a very memorable experience for us. If you and your spouse are looking for great quality food, I highly recommend Danish's Trattoria!

We were able to get away and have dinner with Danish a couple of weeks ago. Once again, the best meal in town hands down. The best fish and prawn that you will find anywhere. It is so delightful with the lentil crust and yogurt sauce. It makes my mouth water thinking about it. Also, the beef, chicken, and veggie curry are tremendous. Then, there is the samosa that has been my favorite for 30 years. It is simply the best samosa and sauce that you will ever eat. Danish is a true gem, and always a great host. He is very knowledgeable about his food and truly understands how impactful and healthy his food is for you. If you haven’t tried it, do yourself a favor. You will enjoy the food and Danish’s service and sense of humor. While we don’t take our kids, Danish always boxes up our leftovers and adds some because they love the food too. Greenwood is lucky to have this caliber of food. I have been many places and you can’t find it like this. Enjoy!

We went to Danish's for dinner a couple of weeks ago, and again I was reminded why this is the best restaurant in Greenwood! His flounder is one of the best dishes you will ever have the pleasure of tasting. It is not fried like most establishments that serve flounder. It is coated in spices, lentils, etc., and it is an awesome experience. The prawn are exceptional as well, and they pair wonderfully with the flounder. We never tell Danish what we want to eat, we just let him surprise us, and he always exceeds expectations. He not only prepared the flounder and prawn, but he also brought out vegetable curry, with fresh, organic vegetables, and it was the perfect pairing with the fish. As always, we had great conversations with Danish, and he attended to every detail. It is always a pleasure to dine with him, and learn more about his food. If you haven't been, you owe it to yourself to try it out. As you can tell by all of the reviews, and ratings, you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a restaurant where you can get french fries, fried cod, and leave pennies for a tip, then this isn't the place for you. This is not a fast food establishment where they switch up food, treat you rudely, and don't care if you come back. However, if you have a refined palate, enjoy great food, and conversation, then Danish's is a hidden gem. If personal attention and great service are what you seek, then look no further. Danish will treat you to a great evening, especially if you have manners and know how to treat servers. Danish does it all himself as he doesn't have a large staff of servers, and therefore, you are sure to get his special touch. Wait no longer, go see Danish, and enjoy!

Last night I had the pleasure of experiencing an early birthday dinner with my husband, daughter, and a couple friend's at Danish's Trattoria. I've dined at this establishment several times and have never walked away less than 100% satisfied.
Danish fills the roles of Maître d', waiter, busser, and chef without missing a beat. His dishes are scratch made and delicious without fail. The menu is not extensive but I would happily order anything available again and again.
One of the joys of dining with Danish is that he takes pleasure in teaching his patrons how to most thoroughly enjoy Indo-Pak cuisine. His conversatin is always lively and entertaining and you'll end your visit having had a true dining experience rather than simply eating out.
If you're looking for something other than a typical meal you could get at any number of establishments this is the spot for you!
I recommend Danish's Trattoria for couples or groups of friends. It offers an intimate atmosphere not suitable for kids.

Danish offers some amazing food in a quaint, cozy environment. We also did not call ahead, but Danish simply asked that we be patient while he cooked for us. He made great suggestions on what to order, and when he brought the food out, he served our rice onto our plates for us. The experience was great, and we feel as if we've made an amazing new friend! We will definitely be back!!

The owner is rude, foul mouthed, and arrogant. No surprise since we have been before, but this time it was a whole next level. When we arrived for dinner approximately 730, there were only four people in our party. There was one other couple in the entire restaurant leaving as we arrived. The owner warned us not to come back with a group of four unless we call ahead of time. He Continued to drop F bombs and make “black lives matter” jokes throughout dinner. My wife and friends ordered the flounder- instead they got frozen Cod which no one liked. Since there were no waiters or waitresses, the owner took our order, made the food and served our food. After paying a $65 dinner bill, I left only a few extra dollars for “tip” since he was not a $3dollar/hour server. I would’ve happily left a $10 tip or more with good service.
We left the restaurant with our friends at closing time,. As we stood in the parking lot, the owner drives by and grills me on why I did not leave a tip for him.. Just unbelievable rudeness and very distasteful. We will never be back. This restaurant has NO business as #1 in Greenwood. That spot should be for Kickers.

We visited on a quiet evening and were treated to a special meal by a very special host. Danish is warm, funny and inviting. The food, a vegetable curry and a beef curry were both delicious. Warming in your mouth but not the heat of lesser chefs. Owner/chef Danish wishes only that you enjoy your meal, and we did, thoroughly!

Once again Danish did not disappoint.
We were a party of five with one of us being vegetarian.
We let Danish know when we made our reservation and had such a good time letting Danish decide what we should have.
Amazing Samosas with delicious dipping sauce.
Tandoori chicken along with beef and vegetable curries with homemade yogurt sauce. The naan was so fresh too.
Don't forget to order your Chai tea when you get there. It will finish off your meal perfectly.

Mr Danish truly cares about your evening. You are a guest in his house and he ensures everything is the best quality.
A perfect escape away from the brats. Don’t bring them. This is a romantic spot. That is its charm.
Mr Danish is one of the few I would trust to just surprise me with anything he wants to serve me and I’m 100% confident it will be delicious.
A perfect night here starts with Samosa appetizer.
Beef, chicken or Shrimp curry and a side order of Naan bread. The mint chutney to dip the Naan is is so good.
Make sure you order “Chut- ney” and not “Choot-ney” . The latter is a dirty insult in India. Mr Danish can explain that!
He is a delightful and quit funny host .
Leave the kids at home. Everyone goes here to get away from them. It’s a very wonderful dinner by a real chef. He’s busy doing sophisticated adult dishes and doesn’t need the distraction of happy meals.

Danish’s Trattoria is an immersive experience! His dishes are flavorful beyond expectations and his personality is colorful with a wicked sense of humor.
My party left here full and cheeks hurting from the shared smiles and laughter with our host.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a flavorful experience!

Danish is the most wonderful cook and host, the food is always outstanding. He makes each curry fresh from seasonal vegetables that day and I've never had one that hasn't been amazing.
My girlfriend can't get enough of his vegetable samosas!

I am visiting family from Charlotte, NC and decided to try out Danish's. We had the biryani with chicken accompanied with beef samosas as the appetizer. The food was amazing for a reasonable price. The owner spent some time with us which was unique and noteworthy. All in all this was a great dining experience and would recommend to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine.

My wife and I have made it a point to dine with Danish on every visit to Greenwood. We've dined here more than a few times now and every time we have left fully satisfied, genuinely happy & very thankful for the unique and extremely enjoyable experience. We learned early on to simply trust in Danish and let him surprise us with his personal menu selections (wine choices too) and he has never disappointed us. You just have to experience it for yourself in order to fully appreciate the rich flavorful food carefully prepared with great pride by Danish himself! Simply stated, everything we have tasted from Danish has been amazing!! Not to mention, the conversation and time spent tableside with Danish is just as entertaining as the delicious food. Last time we left as his friends; now we feel more like his family and we're already looking forward to our next visit...

We loved the unique aromatic flavors from Danish’s delicious entrees and appetizers. Quite a difference in comparison to the southern Indian cuisine we’d been more accustomed to. The best samosas I’ve ever had. The entrees had a bold clean taste (and not too spicy) and not heavy compared to Indian food we’ve regularly eaten in the northeast. Ultra fresh ingredients and home style service. Danish was a pleasure to chat with and learn more about the culture and food prep. We will be back again soon!

We went to Danish’s without calling first- which is preferred because Danish makes all food to order- and he made room for us. He is short staffed due to COVID yet he served us and cooked the food. It was a superb experience. The food is stunning and authentic. Danish is one of a kind.
