The first time at The Melting Pot was to die for.. & we wanted to go back for my birthday. Horrible service.. our waitress with pink/blue/blonde hair was also a stone faced rude person. She would not plug the wires in under the table but...made us do it. Imagine the customer having to do that? We’re in our 60’s. We had a 2 year old with us, she said his food would come out after we had our cheese fondue & salad. This was unacceptable.. they made special arrangements. The cocktails were poorly made this tome around. The bread served with the cheese fondue was super old.. the manager insisted it was fresh. Our salad never came at all. We offered to pay for the cocktails..but they said it wasn’t necessary, so we left without eating. Terribly disappointing.More

The hostess with long red hair was downright rude and apathetic. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation, ok with waiting to be seated. I told her the car next to us had left their lights on and asked her to alert the servers so...they could ask their tables when they checked her m them. Her attitude was , Not My Problem. I feel bad for the people who leave to find their car battery dead.More

This was our anniversary 7/15 date and it was wonderful. Roses on the table. Chocolate covered strawberries boxed and ready to go on the table. We enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip for a change over the fiesta dip. Land and Sea was our choice for...the meal and we were satisfied. A great server made it all come together well. Topped off with chocolate fondue and you can't go wrong.More

We had not been to the Melting Pot in some years and we were really looking forward to visiting it again. We remember generous portions that you could barely finish and really tasty food to dip into the fondue. Instead, we received very small portions...of cheese fondue. It was barely enough for each person to have a few dips. We then had the classic entree with vegetable bouillon. We really only liked the shrimp and the teriyaki steak. The rest of it was pretty much tasteless. The chocolate fondue was the highlight and it even comes with Rice Krispie treats. Save yourself some money and don't go here.More

We went for our anniversary, started out good but it turned out BAD. After our entree was brought out our waitress disappeared. Our heating unit eventually cut off and we never got our chocolate but she would have had to turn the heating unit back...on and give it time to heat again. We went to ask to make sure our waitress was alright and the manager took the chocolate off our bill but charged us $14for classic entree doesn’t make sense. We paid $96 for a meal that was supposed to cost $90 and the $5.50 for 2 teas The worst experience that I’ve ever had. The manager had my phone number and never called back to explain or give me anything. We eat at the Melting Pot at Myrtle Beach and have Never had this type of thing happen. I’m so glad that everyone else has had a good experience but for us it was the Worst Experience everMore

Went to the melting pot for Valentine’s Day date night. The atmosphere is amazing especially for that romantic feel. The food is always delicious and the set menu was very good for Valentine’s Day! I got one of the flower packages for my wife and...it came with a phone. Our service was good and the tempura Fondue was excellent! Nothing beats the chocolate dessert!More

If you have a Groupon for this restaurant it may be worth the experience. The portions are small,, all of them from appetizers to salads to main course. You order cheese selection and they give you a tray with assorted breads, veggies and apples. There...is just not enough cheese for all of the items on the tray. The salad was four bites and done and then your main course comes. You get 4 small pieces of each of your selections either 3 or 4 selections based on what you choose to pay for. You can't possibly leave their full. The atmosphere is nice and if your looking for romantic this would be a perfect place. Paying $9.00 pp for chocolate that's again not enough to dip all of the items you receive into the chocolate is disappointing.More

Our 11 yr. old grandson wanted a special Christmas gift - a day with his grands and a meal at the Melting Pot. The last time we (the Grands) did fondue was in the late 1960’s. We had a lot of fun, a really good...meal, a delightful waitress and a big Thanks from our grandson. This place was comfortable, laid-back and had tasty food. From the first course to the fruit dipped in chocolate it was the perfect Christmas gift. Try it.More

We went to Melting Pot for our grand-daughter's birthday, since that was where she wanted to go. It is a fun experience, for sure. Don't go if you are in a hurry because part of the experience is to cook your food in courses. It...is about a 2-3 hour meal. We enjoyed everything we had especially the chocolate fondue and fresh fruit! But, service was a bit on the slow side. Our drinks were not refilled, and ice had melted too. For 5 people including tip, without alcohol our bill was $260. I feel a little cheated with that. Not to mention my daughter has Celiac's and they were out of Gluten Free bread. That was not good planning on their part. They should ask when making reservations if anyone in the party has Celiac's in order to avoid running out of GF food.More

Not sure they have one but the restaurant is really poorly run and it’s way too pricey for something that’s not even fondue. You’ll have a better time with a group somewhere else. It’s dark the decor is aged and the menu... More
