My husband and I have been going since the place opened in the 1990's. They have had the same bartenders and staff for years and the people seem happy working there which translates to good service. Our kids love the burgers and boneless wings and...my husband loves the chicken marsala. Kids also like the popcorn but I think they recently got rid of that.More

Cute pub with a lot more Mexican/Latin food than American fare. The booths are very small. Four of us had a hard time maneuvering everything. The pomegranate martini was very tasty.

third trip to Cromwell's and last; food is expensive, may or may not be well prepared, service can be slow if the place is busy; main dining room next to bar with TV blaring; ask for the side room if you are meeting friends there

Great burgers and steak salad - our favorites. Small restaurant but food is consistently good. Top shelf liquors available from bar to pair with dinners/lunch.

Stopped in for an early dinner with my wife. Decided to eat in the pub room and watch a few innings of the ballgame. Complimentary fresh popcorn was a nice touch and smelled great. The restaurant was almost empty, but we were early. We started...with the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls which were ok, the Sriracha/Ketchup was nothing special. My wife had Beef Fajitas, which were good but average. I had a burger, which was very basic and reminiscent of what you’d get at any diner, it was disappointing. Definitely not a hand packed gourmet burger you might get at an upscale Tavern or Brew Pub. Service was only “ok” too. Our waitress didn’t mention any specials, but we heard the table next to us get read a list of specials from their server. We were never offered water with our cocktails, no big deal, but had to search for, and waive our server over to order more drinks - and as I said it was early and not very busy. Overall just an “ok” experience, but there are other better options in the area. Would try again, liked the vibe, but not rushing back.More

Cromwell's is the neighborhood place you'd like to have in your neighbood. We always know we'll get great mixed drinks and then a great dinner well prepared. I prefer the "Cantina" side of the menu. Staff is very pleasant.

I liked the good variety on the menu. You could order Tavern food (e.g., burgers, sandwiches) or Cantina food (Mexican dishes). My wife and I liked the bruschetta. I loved the flavorful Chile Rellenos and Lemon Square dessert. We upgraded our Kaj margarita to get...Reposado tequila; it was very good. Our server Lucy was friendly and helpful. We will come back to try other selections from the menu.More

First, I'll write about our personal experience. Husband and I stopped in for lunch on a whim. We were hungry, we were exploring the area...so this place looked pretty cool with its brick exterior/colonial type of look! It was a small restaurant; not many tables....It was super quiet as it was in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. Loved the decor - exposed brick and re-purposed barnwood, exposed beams - super cozy. Our waiter was the tops - nice guy took good care of us. We got two burgers and they were fantastic...the house chips yes definitely a recommend. Good selection of beers...I got the Spiced Ale draft (super good). So we had a great experience! The place is small so I don't blame the staff for wanting to move you along; to me, it's courtesy to open your table up for more patrons and more tips. We haven't been back to try anything else yet - but we will. Maybe our food experience might be different, but I"m hopeful it won't be. It's just a neat, nice, good-service restaurant!More

The food was good, the atmosphere was nice and the prices weren’t too bad. This place was much quieter than some of the other restaurants around, which we liked as it made it easier to talk. The menu is varied including Mexican dishes (though the...place is called American tavern??) but we didn’t eat anything from that menu. I enjoyed the coconut curry vegetable dish. We will be back.More
