Visited the restaurant with friends. Great meal with wide variety of selections. Desserts worth waiting for but large enough to share. Varied selection of microbrews. Did not see wine list but friends enjoyed their selections.

Really enjoyed the beet salad with goat cheese and marcona almonds. I ordered a crab cake with it and a glass of sauvignon blanc. Dined al fresco on a lovely evening downtown. Very enjoyable!

Went based upon TA reviews...awards all over the wall...BUT, one of our worst meals ever. I had fried chicken on overcooked peas and rice with a hotsauce that tasted straight out of the bottle. My wife had a swordfish special with brussell sprouts hard as a rock and swordfish cooked to extremely well done...we had high expectations and instead this... More

We have been customers of Soby's for years, enjoying their brunch buffet or dining before Peace Center events. The food is consistently good and the ambiance is congenial.

My family and I stopped here between visits to Clemson and Furman. It came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The Brunch is buffet but you could not tell everything wasn't made to order. BBQ shrimp and grits are a nice twist on an old favorite. The omelette bar was well stocked and the chef were prompt and attentive. I... More

Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, delicious food, great seating, loved the décor. Great introduction to Greenville, SC and southern food. It may be a little pricey for some, but then again, if you work hard, shouldn't you play hard too? Great for couples getting to know each other (that's why I was there) but looked family friendly too. Great location, downtown... More

We are in town visiting Furman University and a local resident said, "You have to go to Soby's." He was right! One of the best dinners ever. The fried green tomatoes are a must. I had a scallop special with haricot verts which was beyond good. The banana cream pie is just plain delicious. Our server was new but incredibly... More

Went to Soby's for Sunday brunch/buffet before a play at the Peace Center. Very good selection of items & everything we had was good. Price reasonable at $19/person. Also please with the server. Definitely would return.

Soby's offers a nice venue, seating indoors or in their nicely appointed patio (pups welcomed). Unfortunately the food is average at best, many entrees dated. The appetizers (Brie and buffalo shrimp) were not up to par. The entrees were again ok, but nothing to get excited about (short ribs). Service was good.

Soby's New South Cuisine is a blend of contemporary cuisine infused with traditional southern ingredients. The restaurant opened in 1997 and is housed in the warm environment of a renovated, century-old building and has a mezzanine level that can accommodate large parties ordering a la carte. Starting with fresh, seasonal ingredients, our chefs transform Southern favorites into something comfortable and fresh. The wine list is a consistent winner of Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast awards. Signature dishes include Barbecue Shrimp and Grits, Fried Green Tomatoes with Jalapeno Pimento Cheese, and Crab Cakes Remoulade.
