4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I had lunch at the Lazy Goat and the food was good. View and ambiance are great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the portions are too small. I left hungry. I'm a 200 pound male, and this is more of a "light" salad kind of place. Other than that, the food is good.

Unfortunately, I cannot give a half a star so this is really 3.5. The location is wonderful and the service is great. We had a server named Leah who was very attentive and answered questions about the menu. We ordered a meat and cheese plate to start which was wonderful. We liked the muscles but didn't like the corn risotto.... More

I have wanted to dine here for a while and I finally was able to last night. First off it might be a bit hard to find but it is located just underneath the Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown Greenville. I would suggest a reservation if you are headed here on the weekend as it does get incredibly busy.... More

Being the first restaurant I ever dined in, in the "new" Greenville (vis a vis 20 years ago, which was pretty much only the Blockhouse!), I still want to return and return. I have thought about why this is. Hmmm. Menu is creative, yet approachable. Staff is cordial, professional, smart, and warm. Location is possibly the very best of all... More

With a menu that is interesting and a little eclectic, everyone can find something to make that happy at The Lazy Goat. The food is consistently delicious and the atmosphere cannot be beat. With views overlooking the Reedy River as it flows through downtown, your meal automatically feels more special.

Very, very interesting menu, terrific service. Small plates for a great mix or full menu. We sat on the patio and enjoyed watching everything going on around us.

Hungry Goat is a little difficult to find. It is near the Falls Park, but actually across the street from the park entrance. It is in the Hampton, which is easier to find. We had a large party of dog owners eat there for lunch. They reserved an outdoor area for us. We ate in their pleasant outdoor area. It... More

We went for Saturday dinner and sat outside on the patio. The view of the Reedy River and promenade was very pleasing. We decided to order several small plates/appetizers instead of entrees. The goat cheese balls were excellent. Lightly fried and well balanced with the topping. Similarly the lamb and pita dish was yummy. The tomato based sauced and braised... More

We went here for lunch. For appetizers, we had the Mediterranean Pimiento Cheese (awesome!), the seafood chowder (special soup of the day...my husband said it was exceptionally well-seasoned and tasty), the something with melted feta and artichokes (also spectacular). For entrees, a Cuban sandwich, a lamb sandwich, and the butterfly trout (special of the day). Everything was absolutely fantastic. Wonderful... More

The Lazy Goat is a Mediterranean-themed restaurant with a menu featuring global influences from Spain, Morocco, Italy, France, Greece, Africa and the Middle East and a relaxed atmosphere where taking the time to "linger and share" is encouraged. The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes. Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of that and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like".
