Shaped like a log cabin and modern rustic inside, Flapjacks was the perfect breakfast stop. My Southern pecan pancakes were huge and could barely finish them, the sausage patties good and I liked that the OJ came in a little milk bottle. My wife liked her veggie omelet, toast, tea and fried potatoes. The portions are generous and I can see how Flapjack's is so highly rated. Our waitress, Karin was exceptional and due to the Covid mess, all diners were pretty spaced thru out the restaurant.

Our waitress Robin was excellent very personable and made sure we had everything we needed .food was very good and the portions were more than I could eat. The atmosphere is very nice . I highly recommend this for breakfast.

We remembered that this restaurant offered outdoor seating during the covid. The server was very prompt and courteous. I got the bacon and cheese omelette my kids got the chocolate chip pancakes and my husband got the the big breakfast. Service was very good and the food was very tasty.

My family and I have enjoyed breakfast here for the past 4-5 years; we did not eat there in 2020 due to COVID19, but prior to that, we really loved the delicious skillets and omelettes here, pancakes were delicious and service was SO friendly. This place definitely used to hold its own against other pancake houses in this area. However, today, the food and service were SO different, it's unrecognizable. A "skillet" is now thawed out frozen hash browns with dried flavorless eggs, unmelted shredded cheese and 2 strips of burned bacon laid on top. One of our party got a pecan waffle, and when we asked the staff member who delivered "Excuse me, can we have some syrup?" she answered a gruff "YEP" but then walked away, and we waited 15 minutes for syrup from someone else. At the end of the meal, 3 different tables in our corner had to head to the cashier with no bills because we literally hadn't seen a server in 15-20 minutes. We are VERY patient people who completely understand the staffing challenges, but groups of staff were standing around, yawning, texting and at times there were no servers at all moving about the dining area. With no sense of urgency and no servers bringing our checks, we were shocked to open the door to find the parking lot FULL of people on the "55 minute" waiting list (we sat for at least 20 after finishing our meal). We told people to leave. This was a very poor experience and based on our experiences at other venues, it seems to be isolated just to Flapjacks. buyer beware

This food is as boring as it gets. The only thing exciting is when you get the check and see $12.57 for two really boring scrambled eggs, two small pieces of tasteless bacon, two gummy pancakes, and a cup of bland coffee. Good syrup and real butter for the pancakes are pluses. On an upside, Bill, the waiter was very good. Maybe too good as it seemed like he followed every up-sale technique management taught him. Still a good waiter though. The restaurant seemed clean and the staff friendly. You should love country music since it is playing. I was really looking forward to hitting this place but even the pancakes won't take me back.

I have been wanting to try the Pancake Cabin for quite some time now. We had visitors and decided to go on a monday for a nice Pancake Breakfast . The menu is limited and the atmosphere is that of a Country Mountain Log cabin with poor lighting and plank like booths. We ordered the usual pancakes and eggs , country ham and bacon . My scrambled eggs with cheese were cold and the cheese was sprinkled on top not even melted. Our friend asked for extra crispy bacon ....after 2 attempts - still never happened - still limp and not tasty . Now for the pancakes .... Not sure what the recipe is but very disappointing to say the least . Chewy and not very good at all . The host was vey welcoming and he was the only shining light in this dim , boring and gloomy - Breakfast establishment . .... NOT a return visit for us ever ! There are far too many other breakfast places on the strip that have huge menus and HOT, Homemade non franchised food.

Having recently eaten at the Flapjacks in Pigeon Forge, I just knew I was going to be getting a good, hearty breakfast. We also went in with the understanding that they may, like most other places, but slightly under staffed. Our waitress was OK....certainly did not rush to take our order, but again, we were giving all places the benefit of the doubt with the understanding of being short handed. At most places, the wait staff would ask for patience up front and inform of the staffing issues. We were not informed of this, so we just assumed all was well. We saw multiple employees standing around talking. Our food was finally delivered to our table about 30 minutes after we placed our order. The food was not quite as explained on the menu, but by then we were all starving and slightly irritated, so we were willing to eat anything. The food was underwhelming...as was our waitress. We never saw her. With other establishments where they were slightly under staffed, those that were there working were busting their rears to work as many tables as possible. Definitely not the case here. We never saw her. We waited for at least 20 minutes for our check to where we finally asked one of the many hostesses if we could leave and pay. She was very sweet and apologized profusely for our entire experience. If you have several hours to waste and are hungry for some mediocre food, this is your place. Otherwise, there is a McDonalds just down the road.

The food was delicious. But I was shocked when I called to place a carry out order and they said “Due to low staffing we can’t take orders over the phone.” I had to go in person to order, how did that save them anytime but cost my family 30 minutes of waiting in the car? There were also two workers in the lobby cleaning menus or checking people out...this made zero sense! I won’t come back for carry out, if this is their method.

We were the first customers on a Saturday morning. Friendly greeting and taken to a seat and drink order taken. My wife had the Mixed Berry Pancakes. No syrup and we had to ask for it but being the first customer may have contributed to that. She had 3 very large pancakes but they were tough and dry and no taste. I had the Walker’s Cabin Skillet - decent biscuit, better than average gravy, really good hash browns, and two nicely cooked eggs. I also ordered the sausage links but they weren’t brought out until we were half way finished. My selection also included pancakes but they are also tough, dry, and no taste. No matter how much syrup I put on them, still no taste. We will probably go somewhere else next time.

They give big portions, a good sele ction of pancakes among other items. The seats or should I state benches are not comfortable though. They certainly need to address this issue. Service is usually good. The coffee is decent.

Our first visit to FlapJacks and we were not impressed. Everything was so slow …checking in, checking out, our breakfast came out before our drinks and then one of the drinks was wrong. Our toast was cold and everything was just ok. Our waitress was having so many issues and maybe she was new at her job. She kept apologizing but it got a bit frustrating. Luckily we had a coupon to offset some of the cost to make use feel better…even though prices are actually very reasonable. Very sorry we did not enjoy our Flapjacks experience.

Came with a family of 11. Sarah, our server, was extremely impressive. Nothing but class. Food was great, service was better! She took our order without the need for a pen or pad to write down anything. Our order was 100% correct and Food was amazing. Will definitely be back. If you have the pleasure of having Sarah as a server you can bet your experience will be top notch!

We had a large party and timed it just right to get in. I had noticed all week as we went passed that people were waiting outside to get in the whole time they were open. So many skillet choices and everything comes with pancakes it seems. Tons of good food and the pancakes were amazing. I personally have an old family recipe and my family loves them. We all agree these were just as good if not better. There are plenty of healthy choices too. I got the egg white omelet to offset those pancakes! We do not eat out much on vacation because honestly, we cook better than most restaurants serve, We had several bad experiences in restaurants that week thanks more to COVID than anything but we agreed this last experience was the best and a good way to head home.

Previous diners have had similar experience to ours. From the outside the cabin look is appealing but looks, as said, can be deceiving. Up and down the strip, from North Myrtle Beach to Pawleys Island, there is an abundance of breakfast restaurants. They have extensive menus which Flapjacks doesn't. We both ended up with flapjacks, assuming they must be pretty special since that's the name of the place. The serving was big in that they (3 flapjacks) were thick and heavy. As another person mentioned, when we were served we had to flag the waiter down for syrup! The coffee was dismal and service was also. We had arrived at a slow time, the place not at all busy. My first impression was that the staff had no idea of customer service. The hostess was tuned out and, as mentioned, our waiter, same thing. If I had this to do over I would have asked for a menu before going to the table. Next, I'd have headed for the door. There's nothing that would bring me back here. I generously give it a "2" because it appeared to be clean. .

We recently visited our parents while they were "snow-birding" in SC for a few months. They took us out for a fantastic breakfast at Flapjack's. The restaurant is decorated so cute and unique, and the service by Sarah was outstanding. She didn't write anything down and her memory is rock solid! I wish I knew her secrets! I would highly recommend anyone staying in the area to check out Flapjack's for breakfast! It was a hit!
