Horrible pancakes! probably the worst I've ever tried. being in their name you would think they would be good, Whole meal was overpriced (was $50.00 for 2) especially the coffee - $3.00 a cup

Got the pumpkin pancakes and they were very dry. My husband got the blueberry pancakes and he said they were ok, but definitely not the best he’s had. I thought a pancake place would have good pancakes; guess not!
I had breakfast there this morning and have eaten there several times over the past few years. I am never disappointed, the food is excellent and the service is always on the money and they never keep you waiting too long for your food. I...don't know their operating plan, but they sure got it down pat. This is a great family or solo place to enjoy breakfast, if you leave hungry..it's on you.More
Thank you Robert for your kind words! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us and are happy that you enjoy returning for breakfast. Come back and see us soon!
Previous diners have had similar experience to ours. From the outside the cabin look is appealing but looks, as said, can be deceiving. Up and down the strip, from North Myrtle Beach to Pawleys Island, there is an abundance of breakfast restaurants. They have extensive...menus which Flapjacks doesn't. We both ended up with flapjacks, assuming they must be pretty special since that's the name of the place. The serving was big in that they (3 flapjacks) were thick and heavy. As another person mentioned, when we were served we had to flag the waiter down for syrup! The coffee was dismal and service was also. We had arrived at a slow time, the place not at all busy. My first impression was that the staff had no idea of customer service. The hostess was tuned out and, as mentioned, our waiter, same thing. If I had this to do over I would have asked for a menu before going to the table. Next, I'd have headed for the door. There's nothing that would bring me back here. I generously give it a "2" because it appeared to be clean. .More
In October of 2016, my wife and I went to Flapjacks for the first time. Our 2 bouble review showed our disappointment. Today, we decided to try one more time. We had a much better experience. My pancakes were warm enough to melt the butter...(real butter). They have half and half for the coffee. The one thing that hasn’t changed is the kitchen doesn’t know how to cook hash browns crispy. Tgey didn’t in 2016, and they don’t today. Our waitress did get them to do another order. The second time was better, but still not crispy. We might try again, but with so many other options for breakfast, who knows.More
We were the first customers on a Saturday morning. Friendly greeting and taken to a seat and drink order taken. My wife had the Mixed Berry Pancakes. No syrup and we had to ask for it but being the first customer may have contributed to...that. She had 3 very large pancakes but they were tough and dry and no taste. I had the Walker’s Cabin Skillet - decent biscuit, better than average gravy, really good hash browns, and two nicely cooked eggs. I also ordered the sausage links but they weren’t brought out until we were half way finished. My selection also included pancakes but they are also tough, dry, and no taste. No matter how much syrup I put on them, still no taste. We will probably go somewhere else next time.More
Great place for delicious breakfast! Eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes are wonderful! The biscuits are not to be missed! Large and clean dining area with friendly, helpful staff. Josh was overseeing the “Cabin” the day we were there and was very welcoming. Our server...Taylor was helpful and efficient. We will be back and look forward to trying more items on the menu!More

The ambience is adorable. The host was very professional and kind. Taylor our server was terrible. You could tell she did not want to be there. Drinks took forever. Food took even longer. There was no follow up once food hit the table. We asked...for hot sauce and other condiments and they never came. Pancakes come with the barn buster, we were missing two orders but could never tell her that because she never came back. Had to ask someone to come check us out. Another table with the same server ended up leaving all together for not getting help. Food is a whole other story. Worst breakfast I’ve probably ever had. All the meats were way too salty. Pancakes were from a box it seemed like. Just not good at all. Would NOT recommend.More
Our first visit to FlapJacks and we were not impressed. Everything was so slow …checking in, checking out, our breakfast came out before our drinks and then one of the drinks was wrong. Our toast was cold and everything was just ok. Our waitress was...having so many issues and maybe she was new at her job. She kept apologizing but it got a bit frustrating. Luckily we had a coupon to offset some of the cost to make use feel better…even though prices are actually very reasonable. Very sorry we did not enjoy our Flapjacks experience.More
Coffee was good, and they gave us a whole pot. But the pancakes were bland and tasted like they came from a mix. The hash browns seemed to have been frozen. I have never seen a more terrible looking fried egg. The donut holes were...delicious. The sausage was good, but the bacon should have been cooked more.More
Having recently eaten at the Flapjacks in Pigeon Forge, I just knew I was going to be getting a good, hearty breakfast. We also went in with the understanding that they may, like most other places, but slightly under staffed. Our waitress was OK....certainly did...not rush to take our order, but again, we were giving all places the benefit of the doubt with the understanding of being short handed. At most places, the wait staff would ask for patience up front and inform of the staffing issues. We were not informed of this, so we just assumed all was well. We saw multiple employees standing around talking. Our food was finally delivered to our table about 30 minutes after we placed our order. The food was not quite as explained on the menu, but by then we were all starving and slightly irritated, so we were willing to eat anything. The food was underwhelming...as was our waitress. We never saw her. With other establishments where they were slightly under staffed, those that were there working were busting their rears to work as many tables as possible. Definitely not the case here. We never saw her. We waited for at least 20 minutes for our check to where we finally asked one of the many hostesses if we could leave and pay. She was very sweet and apologized profusely for our entire experience. If you have several hours to waste and are hungry for some mediocre food, this is your place. Otherwise, there is a McDonalds just down the road.More
My family and I have enjoyed breakfast here for the past 4-5 years; we did not eat there in 2020 due to COVID19, but prior to that, we really loved the delicious skillets and omelettes here, pancakes were delicious and service was SO friendly. This...place definitely used to hold its own against other pancake houses in this area. However, today, the food and service were SO different, it's unrecognizable. A "skillet" is now thawed out frozen hash browns with dried flavorless eggs, unmelted shredded cheese and 2 strips of burned bacon laid on top. One of our party got a pecan waffle, and when we asked the staff member who delivered "Excuse me, can we have some syrup?" she answered a gruff "YEP" but then walked away, and we waited 15 minutes for syrup from someone else. At the end of the meal, 3 different tables in our corner had to head to the cashier with no bills because we literally hadn't seen a server in 15-20 minutes. We are VERY patient people who completely understand the staffing challenges, but groups of staff were standing around, yawning, texting and at times there were no servers at all moving about the dining area. With no sense of urgency and no servers bringing our checks, we were shocked to open the door to find the parking lot FULL of people on the "55 minute" waiting list (we sat for at least 20 after finishing our meal). We told people to leave. This was a very poor experience and based on our experiences at other venues, it seems to be isolated just to Flapjacks. buyer bewareMore
Joe our waiter did a very good job. The food was good, it could have used a little more seasoning. I would eat there again. The restaurant was clean and we were seated right away.

I used to like this restaurant and the first couple of times we went there it was very good. That being said the past two times I have been there I have had to ask them to remake my omelette. I ordered the western omelette...and it came out nothing more than eggs and cheese both times - each time the waitress told me that it wasn't right, and that this item wasn't as it should be. The breakfasts here are not cheap - my husband ordered eggs with ham (over cooked) and a soda- his food was over $15. My omelette was $10.50. You should expect a decent meal without having to ask them to remake your food. The restaurant was busy, but I do not think that is an excuse for poor food. The service was good, our waitress tried her best. I just think we are going to start trying other breakfast establishments at this point - the experience was disappointing.More
The food was delicious. But I was shocked when I called to place a carry out order and they said “Due to low staffing we can’t take orders over the phone.” I had to go in person to order, how did that save them anytime...but cost my family 30 minutes of waiting in the car? There were also two workers in the lobby cleaning menus or checking people out...this made zero sense! I won’t come back for carry out, if this is their method.More
