My husband and I came on a busy Saturday and we got in with no problem. Our fried fish, and service was great! We left her a big tip because she did her best with the many tables she had.

Ok , I am from SW Louisiana where our seafood is fabulous so for me to give this 5 stars this is saying a lot. Everything is mostly fried but they do have other options. We all had shrimp jumbo and baby .. Very good and tender and seasoned well but not spicy. I shared the big platter that came... More

We are new to the area and couldn't help noticing that the parking lot was jammed at lunch and dinner everyday. We decided to try it and luckily we were late enough to have avoided the crowd. We were seated and served right away. The menu offers lots of fried fish options and a very few broiled options. We ordered... More

Even though it appears to be very popular with locals, After 2 visits with golf buddies that wanted to try it, I'm not impressed. Even though there are other options, they serve an over abundance of fried food. Not the cleanest place to eat.

My Dad was in the mood for a fish dinner so I obviously thought of Captain Steve's. The first thing I thought of was the lines but it was early enough and we were promptly seated. Our server was great and so was the food. We will definitely continue to frequent Captain Steve's.

Two of us ate there in May 2016. W both ordered the seafood platter. The platters were great and the portions were too much for the plates. The scallops tasted fresh and seasoned well. The entire platter was seasoned with a mixture of spices. The large shrimp was not cooked too long or tough. The stuffed crab was very good... More

I have never had a bad meal from Captain Steve's . This place is always packed. The food is delicious, well cooked, and plentiful. You will not be sorry you ate here. Go early on the weekends.

What a fantastic experience !!! Visiting and wanted seafood close to our hotel. Decided on one but then a relative who lives here came by and basically said don't go there, let's go to Captain Steve's. When we pulled up my heart sank because there were so many people waiting. However within 20 minutes, all lines were gone and out... More

Haven't visited here for a while, went on a Friday night at 530 with 7 people, almost no wait, but when we left, line outside. Come early or expect to wait. Had several dishes from steak, to grilled and fried seafood items. Hush puppies were great, sides mostly very good. Portions generous, 4 of us took things home. Very attentive... More

I grew up going to the beach and having fried NC crabcakes and shrimp and love coming here to enjoy this traditional Southern food! It is not a fancy place, but service is great and prices are fair. Be sure and also enjoy their great hushpuppies and the feel of being at the beach!
