Hands down, best BBQ !

Hands down, best BBQ I have had in all 7 years of living in South Carolina. It may seem like a hole in the wall, but it’s a must stop hole in the wall. My husband and I have passed here so many times, in 7 years and finally stopped while we had time. I had the beef brisket sandwich, and my husband had the BBQ pork sandwich. A little bit of spice, Smokey smell, flavorful, moist (hate this word!) but will make you drool for more. The coleslaw is cold, sweet, full of flavor. I’m thinking it was the owner serving the food in the trailer, and directed us to an indoor sitting area with booths, pool tables, and music playing. I was happy. My husband was happy. We are now full. And we have already texted family and friends to gather everyone up to come out for lunch. We will be back for sure. We now have found our favorite BBQ place.

Stopped here for lunch and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. We ordered the combo platter for $28 and it came with 2 sides and some ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. The pulled pork is minced, so it's a little weird to have it prepared that way, but it was very tasty. The brisket was delish. Both of those items had a flavorful sauce with just a hint of heat. The ribs were excellent. The slaw, which a lot of reviewers have complained about, definitely needs improvement - it's pretty awful. The potato salad was decent but nothing great.

Hole in the wall doesn’t do this place justice. Our favorite bbq (and much closer to our house) isn’t open Sunday’s and wifey said we had to find some. This is basically a food trailer permanently parked on the side of the road on the way to the beach. I’ve passed it a thousand times and thought about stopping. Glad we did today. All the sides were good as well as the pork bbq sandwiches we had. Nothing spectacular but what they do, they do well. So if you are driving to Myrtle Beach from florence, do yourself a favor and stop for some good grub.

Ate on property passing through. I had the Pork bbq sandwich with slaw and it was so soggy and wet that bottom of the bun fell apart and couldn't be eaten. Pork is minced and was tender and had good smoke and flavor.Slaw tasted store bought. Beans tasted like baked beans from a can. Fries were just unseasoned frozen crinkle fries dropped in a fryer but the fryer grease needs changed and you can tell. Homemade ketchup and sauces were tasty. My companion said the brisket tasted like lunch meat with sauce on top. Overall it wasn't worth the stop. There are so many places in the Carolinas you can stop and get good sauce and BBQ but also get good quality sides that are more than just an afterthought.

Mr I want ever eat here again!

The guy who owns it looks dirty. His hair is greasy and his fingernails had dirt under them as he severed food. My bun had mold on it and I could here the microwave heat up my bbq sandwich. The bathroom is disgusting. This guy want even put a soap dispenser up for other to use safely to protect from Covid. Not to mention the staff didn’t wear mask, hair nets or gloves while serving me. I didn’t trust the food so I didn’t eat it. What a waste of money! And it wasn’t cheap! I will not be back ! Gross!

Good portions / low quality

I've been on a best bbq in the Carolinas quest for 6 months now. I found this mon n pop, very out of the way place on the way home from the beach. I got the smaller sampler platter for two. The portions were generous and the $28 price reasonable. There was no sauce provided and no drinks were included. The beans tasted like they were right out of a can and included no bacon/pork. Very bland. The slaw taste like it was from a grocery store rather than home made. Didn't seem fresh/crisp. The ribs were charred and dry to the bone. The pulled pork was pulverized like hash. It had a mushy texture and the sauce was spicy. The brisket was the star of the show. It needed no sauce as good bbq should be. It was tender and fatty. Not the best Ive had but good enough. Really good compared to the rest.

Good food, the bbq definitely has a little kick to it. The potato salad was good. The brisket was the best of the 3 meats I had. The pulled pork was the one I liked the least. Bathroom was gross. Worth $30 for the 3 meats and potato salad and Cole slaw (which I subbed out for beans with no issue). Would eat there if I was this way again.

We drive by this place frequently and did in fact stop there last spring and don't remember the food being either great or awful. Well, today it was awful. The pulled pork tasted like it had been ground like hamburger and was gooey. The cole slaw...gooey as well. The chocolate chip cookies looked great so I bought two. After my not so great lunch, the cookie crumbled out of the saran wrap, dry as a bone. The only thing I can think of is that off season the turn over is not great but still.........🤮

OMG! So very good!!

For a while the BEEF BRISKET was my go to sandwich here....Just the right bite with tender, tender beef. Yesterday I switched out & got a 1/2 slab of his ribs. WOW! Best ever. Finished them at breakfast. These moist, pull apart ribs were the best I've ever had. Now I won't know which to get....both worth a stop. If you pass on the way to the coast back up. You won't be sorry

This was by far the best sandwich. Beef brisket with onions and peppers. Meat melted in your mouth. Will be back. My only complaint was the soft roll. Need better roll for such a hearty sandwich. Not into soggy buns. Lol

I stopped around 10:30 for an early lunch and got 1/2 lb of brisket. It was completely soaked in a sweet-ish sauce that overtook the meat by far. The meat, though was the worst. I promise I am not exaggerating when I say it was 50-60 % fat. I took it home, rinsed off the sauce and trimmed it, leaving less than half. There was no bark, just soggy slices of meat. It's the worst brisket ever, and cost over $10. I had high hopes based on the reviews, and maybe by being there early they gave me the worst prices left from the night before, but I'll never stop again. The brisket at Buc-ee's is better by far, and by the time I factor int that I paid $10 for about 4 ozs of meat (trimmed), their $23 a lb at Buc-ee's is actually cheaper and doesn't have the fat.

Best half chicken!!!

I was grabbing lunch and heading to client I bought a half chicken and ate some took the rest home! The chicken is amazzzzing hat off to the chef 😋 affordable meals and amazing food! Must stop by and see! Has outdoor eating sheltered if thats your thing!
