This restaurant had been talked about and recommended by many of our friends as their favorite stop on the way to the beach. So we tried it and it was exactly as expected, nothing unusual, but good southern fare. Selection was good on the day we were there and we enjoyed a variety of the offerings on the buffet. The... For Good country style food , cakes, cobblers, and Real Banana pudding. At a reasonable price. You can't beat the Thunderbird. Families are a regular here for years. They keep coming back. Lots of locals love it here too.

One place on my list to visit when in the Florence area. Just of I-95 north of I-20, easy access worth the stop. The buffet always has fried chicken, fat back, beef and rice. Great sides along with desert cobblers, soft serve ice cream and salad bar. Senior discount days.

The food is average Southern food. The fried chicken is good. all the vegetables are well seasoned. The salad bar is adequate - everything is tasty & average. I enjoy the breakfast most - there is fat back and grits on the buffet. The staff is extremely friendly and the Southern hospitality shines. . All the locals are probably content,... More

The beef tips and rice have always been my favorite. As a student in college this use to be the place for lunch. It still has very good food, but they Cook with salt and sugar. Which is the best way to cook. All and all a good place for a lunch Buffett. Bring your appetite.

This restaurant is conviently located inside of hotel. the breakfast was good considering the bad experience I had with the hotel part. Everyone seems to go there to eat on Sunday's.

This restaurant has been around a long time. The facility needs an update and the presentation of the food. Beginning with the food server table, it is old and did not keep the food warm. The area for the cool desserts were not adequately iced down. The serving staff was friendly but there was only 1 person at the cash... More

The food was phenomenal. I have not eaten this much soul food since I was a child. I mean, real soul food!! Greens, cornbread, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, liver and onions, rice, fried pork chops, baked pork chops, banana pudding, apple and peach cobblers and the BEST sweet tea ever! Trina was very nice. The rest of the staff... More
