One of our favorite restaurants on our recent trip to Columbia. Enjoyed the pimento cheese appetizer and the panini I ordered. We went with a large group and they were very accommodating and everyone enjoyed their food.

I personally went with the Steak and Cheese and it was great. My friend had one of their salads and he bragged. Then he ordered the pimento and cheese with pita chips, excellent. I will be back.

We are local and it is easy to always eat at the same restaurants. We decided to try somewhere different. My husband actually found the listing. We read the menu. My parents came to visit and we took them there. The food was wonderful! I had the pssst sandwich. Best pastrami! The potato salad was delightful. We will be back!

I was visiting my daughter at USC and wanted to try something a little different. We wound up here based on the ranking on Tripadvisor. We would have walked, if I had known how close it is to USC. It is two blocks from my daughter’s dorm. They have a good amount of parking, so it’s really not an issue.... More

I dined at DiPrato's for brunch and enjoyed a wonderful meal. I had the broccoli and cheese quiche. One of the best quiche I have enjoyed was at DiPrato's. The service was great and the staff was friendly. A wonderful meal shared with friends for a nice occasion.

We enjoyed a wonderful brunch with several cousins this past Saturday and DiPrato's was the perfect place for us. Our server was wonderful. She did not rush us, made wonderful suggestions, and helped guide a few to make their selection. The food was AMAZING!!! The peach mimosa was just wonderful. One cousin came in from Charleston and had the Charleston... More

Overpriced, poor service, average food. We are a family of four and use TripAdvisor and Yelp to try different restaurants while traveling. We seek out places that are highly rated but are not franchised. We went for a Saturday lunch. The food was very average, if not below average. My husband and daughter had omelettes. I had four cheese panini... More

This place is tucked into a neighborhood near the college. If you are not looking for it, you will miss it. I thought it was a formal atmosphere but. I was wrong. It appears as an upscale deli. There is such a variety & everything was good. They are known for their Pimento cheese.

DiPrato's is one of my favorite lunch/brunch places downtown. Great chicken salad and the warm pita chips are the bomb. They also have their homemade pimento cheese and chicken salad in a deli case for carry out. Best side is the pasta salad. In addition to dine-in or carry out, they also do a great catering business. My offices uses... More

DiPrato's Delicatessen opened May 2004, and, today, the DiPrato's Experience affords patrons a rewarding escape from ordinary fare. The reward? Delectable food, beautiful décor, and a beguiling balance: friendly service and a pleasant, neighborly feeling. DiPrato's, located where the Purple Cow grocer operated, graces a quiet neighborhood barely off the beaten path. Driving up, you notice the rich red brick, set off by greenery, and spacious windows where light pours in. Approaching the wooden, double-door entrance, a thought comes to mind. You're about to enjoy the DiPrato's Experience. You could say a Southern breeze laden with Italian accents drifts through this New York style delicatessen. Dine if you like on the patio where the glassy splash of falling water melts away concerns. Pita chips and pimento cheese are a real treat! Blend Dianne Light and Bill Prato's presence and culinary skills and you get a wonderfully popular delicatessen-DiPrato's.
