This place isn’t even trying. Save you time and money, just buy a can of Chef Boyardee and a frozen pizza. It will taste better.

We have been going to the Villa Tronco for years. This last Friday may be the last time. We have always been pleased with the service and meals. However not this time. The service was very good. The atmosphere is second to none. The house...salad was awful. It was limp. The lettuce was slightly brown. The oil and vinegar dressing was missing the vinegar. Also, it was unnecessarily expensive. Though the entree was good (noodles slightly overcooked), I expect a lot better for a $25 entree. An expensive restaurant doesn’t make it an excellent one.More

Lunch here with a group yesterday. Had the 1/2 pizza and salad combo but the pizza was thin and burned on bottom. Unedible! Such a shame as they used to have very good little lunch pizzas. That said, cup of tomato-basil soup was outstanding! Their...food seems to be very inconsistent. Just when you find a winner, they change a tried and true selection. So sorry they can’t get it right!More

We went this evening because it was "jazz and standards" night. Not really jazz but enjoyable music . We shared the calamari...nice portion, and a delicious dipping sauce served with them. My husband ordered the osso bucco and was not disappointed. He thoroughly enjoyed it....I had the lobster and shrimp risotto. Very good. Our waitress was very attentive, did not rush our meal and made sure everything was to our liking. This was a fun evening for us as we celebrated Valentine's Day Eve.More

Me and the wife were in downtown Columbia and decided to check our Villa Tronco. This place has a long history. The lasagna and spaghetti with clams was delicious. Morgan provided five star service. Our order was correct, her table visits were timely, and she...provided great casual conversation. Come see Morgan for great service and great Italian dishes.More

My husband and I recently moved to Columbia from New Jersey and were craving old fashioned Italian food. Villa Tronco has very good traditional Italian fare, i.e. button mushrooms with garlic and olive oil, lasagna and ravioli. It also has a cozy, old fashioned feet....The service was also very good.More

We visited the Villa Tronco with my family while visiting my grandson at USC. The menu had all the typical Italian dishes. The prices were fair and the portions quite good. It is a family restaurant that has been there many years. All in all...a great meal.More

Went with a group of friends I was here with for a conference, 11 total, most of us had separate checks, we had no reservations. We were seated right a way and the staff was very accomindating to our requests.

I have always enjoyed spectacular Italian dining at the Villa Tronco but on this particular evening , even though they are famous for their pizza and Italian dishes, I decided to try a steak. I ordered the filet mignon expecting it to be good, as...all of their food is, but was in for a surprise. I was served the quite literally, most delicious steak I have ever ( in my 79 years) tasted. I have often heard the phrase “melt in your mouth” but never found it to be actual. Not until that night that is. Not only was the steak unbelievably tender but the flavor could only be described as perfection. When in Columbus, I will never go anywhere but the Villa Tronco for a steak.More
