Definitely good food. Not as gluten sensitive as I would like. Special steak entrees and cheese boards were great. Salad had great taste, but portion was too small. Drink selection was strange at best and one drink disappointing. Would definitely go back, but some small...More

My first visit was with a group of friends. We are young professionals (under 30) and African-American. Our server continued to reference the prices as if we couldn't afford the food. The second visit was for Father's Day. I called to make reservations and they...More

On frequent trips to our state's capital city, we nearly always stop at Motor Supply for lunch. The food, fresh and prepared daily, is consistently good; the atmosphere is convivial; the service is friendly. The menu changes everyday, and there are always good meat, fish,...More

Food tasted good, temperatures were excellent, texture appropriate for the dish, however the pricing was steep for what you received.

We have never had any food that was less than Excellent with Motor Supply. Chef is very special here. Only down side is the noise sometimes is loud.

The menu changes every day, depending on available fresh ingredients. All meals we have had verge on spectacular. Presentation is classy too.

I would say that it really isn't all that kid friendly...not that they wouldn't allow kids it's just more of an adult place to be honest.

Located in the historic Congaree Vista with a heated patio and free valet parking, Motor Supply has been serving progressive, New World cuisine using classic French culinary techniques for over 20 years. Led by Executive Chef Wesley Fulmer, the kitchen's lunch, dinner and brunch handwritten menus change daily, featuring contemporary New American cuisine, with nods to Creole, Cajun, New Southern, French, Italian and Asian cuisine. We are Columbia's foremost "farm to fork" restaurant, working with local, sustainable farms for produce, meats, SC seafood and more. Seafood is caught off of the Carolina coast, and all of our stocks, sauces and desserts are made on site, including our charcuterie, with house-made sausages, bacon, country pate, and rillettes, all the way down to the pickles and mustard. Our early 19th century, solid-oak bar with marble columns, imported from Europe, serves 180+ fine wines (Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, 2006-12), an extensive list of imported, domestic and local craft beers, as well as an artisan farm-to-shaker cocktail list made from house-infused liquors, handmade bitters, barrel-aged spirits and locally-sourced ingredients and garnishes.
