All meals, whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner, that I have eaten at Lizard's Thicket have been very good, although portion size could be a little larger.

There is no listing for the Garners Ferry road Lizard's Thicket on Tripavisor but this review is for that location. After a weekend of camping, My wife, mom and myself wanted some breakfast and stopped here. Service was slow but what really made me mad was that when our food came it was cold. Grits so cold that soft table... More

Even the hotel staff recommended Lizard's Thicket and when the online reviews concurred, I was sold. I had the salmon patty and was so disappointed when it arrived having been deep fried. The squash casserole was good, but needed salt and pepper. The rolls and the corn bread were dry and tasteless, truly the worst I have ever had. My... More

We stopped for a late lunch/early dinner . We had read about this restaurant having good traditional southern food. So we decided to try it. My husnand had the fried chicken with 3 sides, for $7.99 & I had the chicken fried steak & mashed potatoes for $5.99. Adding in drinks, lemonade & tea, the bill was still under $20.00!... More

We decided on the spur of the moment to drive to Columbia to visit our daughter at USC. It was about 8:40 when we arrived at Lizard Thicket. We were aware it was getting close to closing. We asked if we had time to eat in and they said certainly. They were very nice and didn't try to rush us... More

This place had some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. Their fried okra and mashed potatoes and gravy were on point too. Very good southern cookin'! And cheap, I took a party of 11 hungry guys after a meeting and we were barely cleared the $100 mark.

We stopped for lunch on our way to visit family in Greenville, SC. It was delicious! I ordered fried chicken, collards, beets & mac & ch. The mac n cheese was a little disappointing, but everything else was terrific. Hubs ordered country fried steak, potatoes, okra, green beans and had no complaints. Dessert was a bonus at .99 for Restaurant... More
