After nearly 14 years as Lamb's Bread Vegan Cafe (the very first 100% vegan restaurant in Columbia), we are excited to usher in a new era as A Peace of Soul Vegan Kitchen! We're a family-based eatery, dedicated to providing wholesome, nutritious, delicious meat-free options for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike! We won't serve you anything we wouldn't eat, and we're striving everyday to provide options for all diets. We use organic and locally grown produce, we avoid GMOs, and we don't skimp on the flavor!

Excellent Find! Vegan destination

Wow what an excellent find! A Must visit if in the area for some delicious food! The sit down was unfortunately closed so we had to order online but was worth the disappointment of not dining in. We ordered the hot chicken sandwiches and “cheese” sticks which were AMAZING!!! Plus there were two sides each of which I had to take home because I was so full. Everything was made with love and so so flavorful. We will be back while we are here. Highly recommend to any vegan connoisseur or person wanting to try vegan food. You will be shocked how delicious and like texture to meat it taste. Please open your indoor dining!!!

Do Soul Food and Vegan Go Together?

This was a pleasant shocking surprise! This restaurant has figured out how to combine great seasoned food along with vegan food. This is a must try for everyone that comes to Columbia South Carolina. Don't let your taste buds down.

Amazing. Don’t have to be a vegan to love this place. Been waiting to try it for a long time and it didn’t disappoint. Had bbq chicken platter with black eyed peas, rice, and Mac and cheese. The peas were one of the best things I’ve ever had anywhere. Seriously. Can’t wait to try other items in the future

Wish I Had a Better Memory

I visited the Columbia area and this restaurant was recommended by the Hyatt. The staff was not friendly. The prices are expensive. I had the short ribs, mac n cheese and cabbage. The mac n cheese was horrible with the worst ingredients I have ever tasted in a vegan mac n cheese. If you live in the area, please go to Whole Foods or somewhere else to have vegan mac n cheese. The cabbage was al dente and should have been cooked longer. The short ribs was not faux true to its name. My friend had the chicken sandwich and there were no complaints.

Best Vegan You Will Ever Eat

OMG....I'm not vegan but I would be if I could prepare it like this. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! I had Nashville Hot "Chicken", mac n "cheese" and collards. Everything mouth watering. Going back ASAP!

BAIT & SWITCH! SHAME ON PEACE OF SOUL. Peace of Soul participated in the Vegan fest of Ashville NC. 10-8-2023, this was my first time ever learning abt POS. The display of vegan food options was enticing so, I waited in line 36 minutes to order the organic vegan waffle fries to go, then waited another 30 plus minutes only to get some type of curly fries. Not what I ordered or paid for. No announcement was made or option to make another option. Such a SHADY thing to do. I Do Not Recommend SHADY Peace of Soul. Shame on you.

Carnivores, have no fear!

Def in my top 3 for favorite places to eat in Columbia! (And I am a committed carnivore.) Food is just killer every single timne and the friendliest service feels like family. Catch them in their truck around town while they renovate the restaurant. Go back to work feeling great and plenty of energy.

Awesomely Good Vegan Food

Visited the food truck today. I got a plate of BBQ Chicken wings with rice, collards and mac and cheese..Ooohweee! Delish! Oh and I also purchased a T shirt!

It was surprisingly good!

I am not a Vegan; however, I am not a meat eater/lover either. I don't eat pork, beef, lamb or very much turkey. I am also trying to give up chicken. I do eat eggs and some other dairy products. Therefore, I am not classified as vegetarian or vegan. I do enjoy good food;however, so I don't frown upon other types of cuisines. A Peace of Soul's building is currently undergoing renovation so they are operating out of a food truck. If you follow them on Facebook, you will see where they go during the week and the hours. This was my first vegan experience. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger because I wanted a burger without having a real burger (beef). I was surprised that this Vegan burger was so good! It was also big and had the burger fixings of lettuce, tomatoes and onions. My daughter helped me finish the burger and said it was really good! I choose the two sides of collards and Mac and cheese. I liked the sides. Particularly the collards. The Mac and cheese was just okay for me. The prices of the meals start from $10+ because as everyone knows Vegan food is not cheap! I would visit again but may just get the burger because alone it was filing. My husband had the chicken strip meal. He did not share, so I guess that tells you his enjoyment level....

I'm not Vegan

I'm not vegan or vegetarian but their food is amazing!! I've had everything on the menu literally.. but one of my favorites is their bacon cheeseburger with purple cabbage and mac and cheese! My mouth is starting to salivate thinking about it. Reccomend all try it and I guarantee you will like it.

Best Food Truck at Soda City

Find them at the very end of the soda city fest closest to the capital building. Get there early and wait if you need to. As a lifelong vegetarian I had a blast getting all that 'chicken' off the 'bone'. I had the jerk a few weeks ago and the bbq today. The purple cabbage was stomp your foot good too. The rice with a little bit of that bbq sauce was everything. I highly recommend this everyone vegan to carnivore. Even my 4 year old like it. They're a destination stop for us now.
