Husband treated me to dinner out on a Friday night. We had 8 pm reservations, arrived early and he enjoyed local Columbia brewery River Rat Brewery's Hazelnut Brown Ale. I enjoyed Stiegle's grapefruit radler. They started us out with some dreamy bread, real butter and Boursin cheese. Mmmm I ordered small plate of fried green tomatoes with a smoky bacon... More

Visited for a friend's birthday and could not have been more pleased. For starters we had the four cheese plate and oysters...both excellent, especially the cheese selection. For entrees we had Bronzed Atlantic Mahi-Mahi, Flat Iron Steak, Braised Pork Shoulder, and the filet. All were cooked to perfection and delicious. For desert we split Mango Spring Rolls and “Bananakopita”. I'm... More

We visited this restaurant recently on a Monday evening and were surprised to see that at 5:30 p.m. the restaurant was almost full. Everything about our dining experience was excellent. Can't wait to go back.

My husband had business collegues in town and we hosted them at the Solstice Kitchen. It was high end experience with awesome food. There is a bar area with a TV, but there is also a nice (all be it small) dining room. The draw for me was that all of the food is locally grown/caught and very fresh. They... More

I am always looking for new restaurants to try and had been meaning to hit this place so tonight I finally did. First, the place gets really busy so I would suggest a reservation on the weekend. It is located in a plaza and the parking can fill up quickly. I walked in and after waiting a few minutes I... More

It's been awhile since I've had a chance to go back to Solstice. It didn't disappoint and was excellent as usual. Food and service are the best.

Solstice is a great place for fine dining and experiencing different and creative flavors. Everything we ordered was was well made and tasted fantastic. I highly recommend saving room for dessert. The waitress was very attentive and helpful . The dinner menu is pretty pricey, so be prepared to spend some money; but it's worth every penny.

Dined with family in the private alcove for a milestone birthday to remember! Magnificent Mohitos led to an incredible cup of Andouille Sausage, Red Bean & Kale Stew featuring green onions and a petite buttermilk biscuit followed by a cooked-to-perfection Flat Iron Steak in a red wine reduction with fresh buttered spinach and frites-- all accompanied by a glass of... Our server checked in often, and was very friendly, offering wines for tasting. The bread was great. my salad was good, and I had a Thai vegetarian entree which was tasty and plentiful, but I would have enjoyed a side dish just for variety of tastes. My husband said his steak was just average. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting.

One of our favorites when we're sticking close to home (though it was worth the drive when home was downtown, too). We fond that service isn't always great in Columbia, but Solstice has been the exception to that - their waitstaff is very knowledgeable and attentive in all the right ways. The menu items and cocktails available are always inventive... More
