Always clean and inviting, a great place to get together with friends for light fare and reasonable drinks. They do serve generous portions.

Carolina Ale house has a delicious rib eye steak. The service is great. If you are interested in eating at a college type restaurant this is it!

Our server was nice enough but was S L O W. . . . It took forever to get our drinks and silverware. We were at the restaurant long enough for a 5 course meal at a French bistro. Ugggghh. But, the full size nacho was one of the best layered nacho dishes this side of Margaritaville. And, the chicken... More

My husband and I sat on the outside deck. Even though it's sunny out, they have tables with umbrellas. The food came quickly and it was hot. Brianna was our server and she was awesome.

I ate here while on a business trip and it was pretty good. It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't terrible either. The service was good. It was a little loud in there, but nothing crazy. I don't know that I would go for a special occasion or anything, but a regular night out would be perfectly fine.

Got in to the city around 10:30pm and needed a late dinner. The staff was VERY friendly, the service was average and the food was good. The burgers were fresh (not frozen patties) and very good and the chicken tenders were really good too. (And the beer was cold) Very reasonably priced..I think this was our least expensive meal during... More

Was here for graduation, so this is where we ate dinner the night before. We were staying downtown, so this was an easy walk. Food was good, and the craft beer selection was great! Very much like other chain sports bars/food outlets. Lots of local sports memorabilia on the walls. Staff was friendly, and we were seated faster than we... More

We had a large work party that had a few issues on coordination, our end. The staff worked hard to solve it and take care of us all night. The upstairs bar area is great for groups and the wait staff was awesome. One of the burgers I have had as well. Come early as this is a hot spot... More

The place is perfectly laid out for a sports bar with food. Don't expect anything special on the menu or a quiet time. Not that kind of place. God deal

We were in Columbia for the weekend for a relatives wedding and we found parking is at a premium so we were looking for eating places within walking distance to out hotel. The Carolina Ale House was practically next door so we headed over for an early dinner. Chelsey was a great server (and patient since we'd never been there... More
