Hibachi chicken was way overcooked, dry and tough. I needed three glasses of tea just to try to get the chicken down. Since I was treating my aunt for her birthday for an evening meal, I didn't want to make a scene to embarrass her...or the chef since he was cooking for 6 of us at the hibachi table. They were very busy with a lot of people waiting so I paid my $49 bill (before tip) for the two of us and decided I'd just handle it in a discreet respectable way by calling the restaurant manager when I got home. They didn't answer their phone and I called multiple times throughout the next day with no answer until finally at 5 pm someone answered. However, "Miss Lee" owner of the restaurant refused to do anything about it, not even an apology. She took the attitude of "too bad and I don't care". I still had the chicken in a takeout container to bring to back to them and all I asked for was the chicken to be replaced which take out would have been fine. Obviously these oriental people have no clue how to treat customers here in the U.S. and I understand the frustration most people have them. In this case, the owner Lee could care less about providing good service and a good product. It was my first time at this place and the last. I will NOT recommend them to anyone and will never bring family or friends to this place ever again. For the money, it was very lacking. The salad was chintzy, the "soup" was just flavored water with nothing in it, the fried rice didn't have any carrots or peas and barely any egg in it. They don't take pride in there product and if you get something bad, go ahead and make a scene to get it taken care of on the spot otherwise they'll just blow you off. Forget being tactful with these people as it doesn't work! The leftover chicken wound up in my dogs bowl even he choked on it. I've had better food at Panda Express for a 1/3 of the price! Go somewhere else and save your money. Not worth the money!More

This restaurant is just ok, but will serve the purpose of you are desperate for sushi in Clemson. I would stick to the basic pieces and rolls, as the specialty rolls are overdone.

We have friends visiting from out of state and we took them on a boat tour of Lake Hartwell. We headed toward Clemson, tied up at the public dock and walked to Tiger Blvd. We randomly chose the Tokyo Steakhouse because they wanted a light...lunch. What an excellent choice it turned out to be. I love sushi and being from Chicago, am used to high quality sushi. The Rock n' Roll sushi special did not disappoint. It was excellent. Everyone ordered something different and all our meals were delicious. I am definitely returning to sample some of their other dishes.More

We walked this restaurant from a downtown waterfront park with boat docks. Between the 5 of us we tried a myriad of things: small salad, Miso soup, sushi, Hibachi shrimp. Each person considered their selection excellent. The prices are great and service to match.

Have visited Tokyo three times now. They have a very diverse menu. First time had the hibachi. Very tasty, good portions. On another visit had a few sushi appetizers. The tuna carpaccio with avocado was very good. The hamachi tartare was not very good. Had...the dragon roll as well. It was just OK. Had the nabe udon soup on another visit. Had shrimp and scallops along with vegetables. Came with a basic salad. The soup was quite good. I would recommend the soup and hibachi. Not so much the sushi. With that in mind, I’d definitely return if in the mood for those items.More

My boyfriend ate there few years ago and recommended the restaurant, so we decided to go there again. This time it was terrible experience. Starting from the green tea that did not taste good, the ginger sauce over house salad was white and not pinkish...(like a tahini sauce), they add mayonnaise (that is so odd for Japanese restaurant). seaweed salad tasted like plastic. Sushi tasted weird. The bottom line they use cheap ingredients, that is the reason do not taste good anymore. Price is expensive for a bad experience. So I will never be there again.More

Had several friends recommend this place so perhaps I was expecting too much. Or perhaps it was because I didn’t get the sushi but one of the hibachi dinners. The food was good but not great. The service was good. Atmosphere was also good.

Date night was disappointing with the way our sushi looked. Very tasty just not a good presentation. Service was a little rushed on getting us out. brought us the bill and we were not even finished..
