Best place to eat in Cheraw but they are not open on the weekends. Great food and friendly staff. If you love sweets, they have the best desserts.

On our way to FL we found ourselves near Cheraw SC at lunchtime. After reading reviews about The River’s Edge, decided to give it a try. We we pleasantly surprised. Everything was homemade, my husband and both had the daily special, meatloaf with 2 sides;...we chose “wedding potatoes “ a cheesy shredded potato with a hint of jalapeño, green beans, and freshly baked rolls. My husband also had a bowl of the soup of the day, cheesy chicken and rice, which he found to be delicious. The meatloaf was just like your grandma made, thick and topped with a thick tomato sauce. I meant to photograph our plate, but we started devouring it as soon as it hit the tablet. We were much too full to try dessert, but there were some very tempting looking cakes in the case at the front register. The decor is very basic but clean, and hanging all around the walls of the restaurant were beautiful vintage quilts to admire and buy,if you so desired. We will definitely be returning on future trips through the area.More

Ate dinner here this evening. I ordered a half rack of barbecue ribs. The ribs were very good. Prices are reasonable and the service was good.

We were just driving through Cheraw at lunch time and chanced up the River's Edge. Big restaurant and bakery. Decorated with a quilt sale. Friendly waitress. I had a cheese and pimento sandwich with tomato and avocado and apple smoke bacon. Nice size for lunch....My wife had a very filling and tasty bowl of beed vegetable soup. We picked up some peanut butter oatmeal cookies at the counter when we paid.More

A great place for a hot comfort food meal. Friendly and courteous staff. Extensive salad bar looked fresh. Homemade deserts are a delight.

We had loaded potato soup, chili, chicken salad, strawberry and carrot cakes. We also took home incredible sweet rolls for breakfast. Cindy and Stanley as well as the staff treated us very well. I love how they have decorated their restaurant with beautiful quilts. A...must for those residing in Cheraw and well worth a trip for those outside the area.More

My wife & I travel through rural SC periodically and have been searching for good restaurants to stop for lunch. Search over. If you’re anywhere near Cheraw SC you need to stop here. The River’s Edge is a pretty good sized establishment in downtown Cheraw....It is spacious and very clean. My wife and I both had the country fried steak with two sides lunch special. It was fabulous. We finished it off by sharing a piece of homemade pecan praline cheesecake which was wonderful. Service was good and friendly even at a busy time. We can’t say enough good things about River’s Edge. We will be back next time through, no more waiting until Asheboro.More

The Ribeye can't be beat. Huge and very tasty. Makes Outback's steaks look punny. Great salad bar. Very nice atmosphere.

We have used this restaurant for catering at least 5 events. Food is always fresh and good, and on time! Their cakes and desserts are fabulous. Ribs are great and cooked in the back on a huge smoker/cooker! Friday has the best catfish fried you...would ever want along with great homemade slaw!More

My husband and I loved our lunch here! And the service was excellent! In addition, they were featuring a quilt display which was lovely! Also paintings for sale as well.
