We had a lovely meal and tried the local dish “grits”. A must for any first timer in Charleston. The restaurant is warm and cosy even though it is next to the bar and a walkthrough to the Rooftop Bar.

We had some world traveled guests in Charleston this week looking for a "culinary experience." I have heard great things about The Drawing Room so with fingers crossed, we made reservations. We entered this beautiful restaurant serenaded by an unbelievably talented guitarist, Nikolai Svishev who...More

Dear siteseer58, Wow! Thank you for taking the time to write such a kind review. We are always so happy to hear when we exceed our guests expectations. Chef has created such an exciting menu and the Pirlou is definitely one of our favorites as...More

Friendly staff but extremely slow service of the food. Chef had to prepare 2 free appetizers to appease the complaints. Food was good but not worth the high price. There are better restaurants.

This place is really hyped but the food we had was truly mediocre. We had "slow-cooked octopus," which came out tough and chewy. We also had the catch of the day, which amounted to a tiny portion of tasteless fish, served over a pureed vegetable,...More

Did not eat in the drawing room, but the hotel bar is in the Drawing room, so if you didn't want to go to the rooftop bar, the Drawing room was your other option. Service and selection at the bar were excellent. A good place...More

Overall a nice experience. Meal portions were small but plenty for the average meal. When we visited reservations were recommended but not required. During the week we had no problem getting a table. After dinner I recommend taking a walk around to see the art...More

Everything from the atmosphere, to the service (thank you, Robert), to the thoughtful wine list, to the delectable food, was superb at the Drawing Room. My mother has the tenderloin, that was melt-in-your-mouth, I had the Wadmalaw Salad (exquisite) and the devine Grouper, and my...More

I get a burger everywhere I go. The burger was great, who ever the fries are horrible. Too fat and not cooked, more like wedges. Nice wine selection and service.

Good service with excellent steak - if you like seafood - you are well catered for - wines pricey - attentive wait staff. cutlery? - no spoon for your coffee or tea - no fork for your dessert? & a 4* hotel

I very seldom eat more than one meal at a restaurant associated with the hotel. The Vendue's Drawing Room is an exception. The dinner and drinks were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the ceviche and the oyster dish. One slight drawback was our dessert, a peach...More

One of Charleston's newest and most highly-acclaimed downtown restaurants. Drawing Room restaurant and bar is located in a thoughtfully restored 1780s Charleston warehouse building and melds effortlessly into the sophisticated, yet chic surroundings. The perfect spot for dinner in historic Charleston or cocktails and shared plates before a night on the town. Locally sourced seafood and produce are the mainstay of the innovative menu that is designed to showcase Chef Forrest Parker's artistic style. Complimentary valet parking.
