We visited on a Saturday night. This restaurant had a very casual, seafood shack type ambiance. The front parking lot was full, so we had to park in the back. There was used cooking oil and dirty rags sitting out behind the restaurant, which was...More

My wife and kids were vacationing in Charleston SC this past week. I had just commented earlier that I had a hankering for great seafood on the trip down from Pennsylvania. My son in law had done some research and found what he thought was...More

It feels like a flash to the past seafood diner (which we liked). All seafood menu and it was all real good (although i wasn’t crazy about their she crab soup). Good sides and the bread pudding was GREAT! Seating is limited and a bit...More

Excellent fried shrimp and hushpuppies! Nothing fancy, but it was plentiful. Pleasant staff. We will return.

The food was excellent! But I thought that the pricing was a little bit too high. I would to back, but the pricing needs a change.

This is a very basic place, serving water, tea or soft drinks with your seafood. No frills and old school. The food, however, was delicious. I had the fried shrimp and grilled scallops basket with onion rings and squash casserole . I don’t even like...More

Stopped in for some gator and fried green tomatoes before heading back to Edisto last week. This place has the best gator of any one we know. Just wish there were a few more pieces in the basket but it is well prepared for about...More

The food was good (especially the scallops), but not worth the circus we endured. We were missing a side item to an order, but couldn't get our server's attention, and felt that minimal interaction was best after watching her "work". She was a sight to...More

It’s seafood which is a dime a dozen in the area. The prices and food were good, but the service was really slow and they were out of a few items that we wanted to order. Tried the gator appetizer. It tasted like chicken nuggets....More

I live in Charleston and have eaten at Roadside Seafood a couple of times prior to my recent visit. The food was really good. I decided to take some family members to have dinner there before heading to the Folly Beach Pier. We haven’t had...More

Description
Roadside Seafood is a casual seafood restaurant. We started in 2012 as a mobile food truck. As our popularity grew, so did our demand. So we opened doors to our family owned restaurant in April 2014. We serve fresh seafood the way you want it. When it comes to the normal sea fare like oysters, shrimp, and crab cakes, we've got you covered. However we also have unique menu options like shark, frog legs and gator tail! We were picked by Charleston Magazine's Food & Beverage issue as the Best She-Crab Soup along with Best Down Home Seafood 2014. We have also been named as the No. 2 Best Fried Shrimp Spot in Charleston, by the Charleston City Paper! So c'mon and see why we claim to have the "Best BAM Seafood in Charleston"!!!
