Established in 2002, and housed in what was originally an indigo warehouse, this Charleston fish house redefines "fresh" from the menu to the decor. COAST features 40-ft ceilings, rustic tin roofs, and paintings from around the world, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of an eclectic beach bar. Enjoy a Peach Blanco Sangria outside on the patio, or a delicious bottle of wine in the spacious bar lined with preserved palm trees. COAST's chefs meet daily with local farmers and fishermen to procure the freshest seafood and produce in the Lowcountry. At the heart of the restaurant is the hickory and oak custom made wood burning grill, a feature you will only find at COAST. The menu incorporates Charleston

Delicious seafood and pasta dishes, service was safe during COVID-19. Nice birthday celebration! Recommend the chocolate cake for dessert!

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The seafood was obviously fresh and well prepared, the drinks were good and the service was fantastic. I wish I could remember our servers name as he was outstanding. Overall - this was fun evening in Charleston.

Be sure to place a reservation. This place fills up quickly. We were seated in a booth. The decor is fitting and interestingly pleasant. We had the salt & pepper calamari and hush puppies. They were perfectly tasty. My wife had the chicken — whoa,...it was VERY good. I had a mixed grill swordfish, steak, and scallops; this was fantastic, too. Go on in, you will be glad you did!More

Had dinner and food and service was great. Two of us ordered the lobster dinner and was great. Another one ordered the fish special and was too salty (all of us tasted it). They exchanged it with the salmon and was good. Ordered the Kalahari...and hush puppies appetizers. The hush puppies were good. The Kalahari is the best! Also, we shared the lime pie and delicious. Service was so very good. Would definitely return!More

Great find in the historic district, right off King St. The food was amazing, had the grouper with truffle grits that was the BEST! You can watch the chefs working their magic by the bar, every bite was phenomenal!!

Nice atmosphere. Great location on King Street, but tucked away. Food was very good for all at our table. Service was fine. Would definitely return.

Nice restaurant tucked away in a small alley way. Tough to find if not knowing what to look for but well worth it. Nice and cozy. Nice bar area if you just want to sit at the bar for a meal. Food was outstanding. Prices...were a bit expensive but you are in Charleston and it was consistent with everything else. But I don't mind paying for a good meal and we got it. The young lady serving us also did a great job. The menu is quite good eventhough a bit reduced due to COVID. Seafood tasted fresh and very well prepared. Would highly recommend locating this restaurant and spending a few hours enjoying.More

Food was excellent. I had braised grouper, wife had the butter poached lobster and kids had fish sticks. Everything was perfect with some of the best flavors I have ever had. My 6yo who hardly eats anything, ate two orders of the home-made fish sticks....It is our new favorite restaurant in Charleston.More

Coast is in an alley off John Street. Great location. We went for dinner and it was good. Actually, the appetizers were the stars of the show. The mussels were cooked perfectly with a classic wine broth which illuminated the flavor. But the Cangrejo Ceviche...was the big winner! Try these if you go. Our waiter, Tyler, took great care of us and was assisted by an attentive staff. We sat outside and loved the atmosphere. Go here!More
