By recommendation (on another network), we made a point to order carryout turkey sandwiches on Thanksgiving. For $10, we received one of the best turkey sandwiches we have ever eaten. They also included small sides of cranberries, stuffing, AND gravy. They were superb.

Sister restaurant to Halls Chop House and the service, quality of food and the unique flavors make this our second favorite in Charleston. This was Thanksgiving Day so it was a prefix meal. Thanksgiving dinner or other items. You could select 2 or 3 course meal. I chose the Filet Mignon with collard greens and potatoes. What a surprise I... More

After a few people recommending this place the bf and i were so excited to spend Thanksgiving dinner here. Overall the environment is nice, i just love the restaurants in old buildings. The bartenders at the small center bar were rude, they were busier having conversations with each other that their guests. The food itself was highly disappointing, out of... More

We had Sunday brunch which consisted of shrimp and grits and crab cake Benedict. Both were excellent. The wait staff was extremely personable and very accompanying to some special requests. This is a special restaurant for dining with special friends and family members.

What a nice way to spend Thanksgiving. The menu is full of choices and the waitstaff is attentive. My starter was oysters and my spouse had the she crab soup; and it was difficult picking out my favorite starter. We both had the traditional turkey dinner which was delicious. Again, it was difficult picking out which meal to have. My... More

Dinner was "good" not great. All prepared ok but really nothing special. My flounder was a little too crispy crusted (aka burnt) My associate had the fillet mignon (ho-hum) with potatoes and collards - all unremarkable. The creme brûlée was a weak on the vanilla bean and unfortunately the pumpkin pie was absolutely anemic with no taste at all. Nice... More

I LOVE this place!!! The decor was modern elegant without being stuffy. I guess that is southern charm! The food was outstanding! The donuts with the bourbon apple bacon glaze! Need I say more! Shrimp and grits were very tasty but the best was the crab cake eggs benedict. This place is great for groups. Enjoy!!

The interior of this restaurant is beautiful. The ceiling fans are very cute (random to notice, I know, but once you see them you'll agree!), the lighting and furniture are also very beautiful. It's just like a modern restaurant with some like classic old southern homages haha. Now for drinks: the wine list is great, it's very extensive and they... More

Excellent service and Excellent Food. There is not more I can say to top that. I had shrimp and grits. Very flavorful. The tomato salad was beyond what I expected. Good desserts too. They knew it was our anniversary and had a card on the table, champaign to toast and several congrats. Jennifer was a fantastic server.

I wanted to give High Cotton 5 stars, but there were a few minor blips that kept it from this category for me. We went for the Blue Grass brunch over the weekend. The ambiance was perfect except that we couldn't hear the music. There was a band playing in one of the rooms, but not the one we were... More
