We loved the Charleston Grill. The setting is lovely, the food delicious, and the staff is on top of their game. We started with the chilled asparagus soup, which was mouth watering. Our entree was the lamb (we are often sharers). It was a perfect...mid rare, and the mint sauce was just right. It provided a little umph without overpowering the very tender lamb.. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.More

Charleston Grill is a very special, elegant restaurant with primo staff and excellent food. They are the total package. We dined there twice while in Charleston and loved every moment and every bite. Delia S was our fantastic server both nights. She was a total...delight and totally added to the enjoyment of our meals. The ambiance was beautiful and relaxing with soft piano music, which we enoyed. Their crab cake Is the best anywhere around, absolutely devine! We shared a crab cake the first night, the second night we each ordered one, no way sharing again. The first and second night I ordered the scallops, melt in my mouth wonderful. He ordered the halibut both nights and raved about it both it. The food, service, ambiance -everything came together for two delightful meals. Many thanks to Delia S for her quick wit and charming manner, she really added to the overall enjoyment of our meals! You go girl! This restaurant sets itself apart in all aspects of dining, the total package. We look forward to another visit to Charleston and Charleston Grill will be our go to place again. I HIGHLY recommend Charleston Grill. Don't miss it.More

The Charleston Grill is a fanatic restaurant. The moment you arrive you are made welcome, whether it’s your first or hundred and first visit. From booking to table service, we had exceptional service from all staff. The waitstaff were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We...had crab cakes and the rack of lamb, both of which were wonderful. We could not fault this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone visiting Charleston.More

We came early before the restaurant was open. We sat at the bar. Melissa the bar tender was great. Our drinks were perfect. She made sure that we were allowed to order and eat early in the bar. The bar appetizers were gourmet in quality....My wife had scallops that were perfectly prepared, not rubbery. I made a meal out of appetizers. Again Melissa’s recommendations were on point. We enjoyed their drinks so much that we have been getting or drinks from Melissa and taking them to the other restaurants in the hotelMore

The setting is pleasant, service attentive and the cuisine pretty good. Overall the menu is a bit odd and neither here nor there, lacking in local flavours but bridging caviar to thai vegetables as one of few sides. In a larger group you can make...it work! The flounder grenobloise (with brown butter and capers) was very enjoyable. Wine list is very extensive.More

The staff went out of their way to make this meal extra special in every way. Brian, who waited on us, couldn't have been kinder and more attentive as was everyone. I wish I could remember everyone's name. Julie who is the Manager is a...delight and also attentive to every little detail. Now to the food: The crab cake A++ Colorado lamb A++ Dessert A++ (loved the hazelnut mousse and ice cream sundae) Wine too- delicious.. what more is there to say other than this is probably the best restaurant in Charleston- oh and also the Great Jazz.. another aspect of this wonderful restaurant. Thank you everyone for everything at Charleston Grill!More

We decided to celebrate at the Charleston Grill. Our first reaction was that the menu offered very limited choices. We are foodies who love to cook and look forward to restaurant cuisine that is imaginative and delicious. This restaurant was disappointing. On the recommendation of...our server, we ordered the carrot soup. It arrived lukewarm, but we decided not to send it back because we did not want to spoil our evening. It did not have much flavor. We then shared a beet salad. I ordered the crab cake appetizer as my main course; mu husband ordered the scallops. Neither dish was memorable. Our check came to almost $200 before we added the tip, even with the shared salad and appetizer for my entree. I cannot recommend this restaurant since the quality of our experience did not match the price we paid for it. Charleston has beome a great city for restaurants-- we will be trying someplace else for our next celebration.More

Had a wonderful time last week at Charleston Grill. Brian, Mike, and Drew gave us such great service and the food was incredible! We started with a Fall salad with roasted grapes for me (so yummy!) and foie gras for my husband, which he loved....My tenderloin and my husband's scallops were perfectly prepared. Ended the meal with creme brulee as we listened to the delightful music. Highly recommend dinner at this lovely place!More

Wow! What a lovely evening we had at the Charleston grill. The cocktails were spot on as was the service. Taylor was wonderful and so friendly but not intrusive. Our meal was fantastic. I had the crab cake as a starter and OMG! Best I’ve...ever had. I had the fish of the day and my husband had the 8oz filet for our entree. Both were superb, but the filet was the winner of the two. The Carmel popcorn sundae for dessert will live in my dreams.More

Charleston Grill in Charleston, South Carolina, is one of the finest fine dining restaurants in a town noted for outstanding fine dining restaurants. Need proof? It has been awarded the Forbes Four-Star and AAA Four-Diamond awards for food excellence. Located at 224 King Street, in...Charleston Place A Belmond Hotel, at King and Market streets, in the heart of downtown Charleston, near historic City Market and the lively nightlife of East Bay Street, it offers world-class modern jazz, blues and soul music with each course. Open from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, Charleston Grill features a world-class menu of appetizers, entrees and desserts under the direction of executive chef Michelle Weaver. Plus an extensive wine list. All served in stunning surroundings with wood-paneled walls. Not to mention the impeccable service. My wife and I started with the house's famous Charleston Grill crab cakes with Creek shrimp, tomatoes and lime-dill vinaigrette and spring peas and pancetta with arugula, bread crumbs and parmesan dressing. For an entree, my wife chose Carolina lamb chops with white asparagus and rosemary-lemon au jus with red potatoes and pole beans with bacon, garlic and chilies. I indulged in an eight-ounce prime beef tenderloin with asparagus, potatoes and chives. For dessert, we shared portions of vanilla bean creme brulee with fresh berries and caramel popcorn ice cream sundae with strawberry syrup, caramel corn, vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream. A visit to Charleston isn't complete without dinner at Charleston Grill.More
