Magnolias was a great restaurant. The food and service were great. We were seated promptly and our server was attentive. While it was not cheap, the price was reasonable for the meal and drinks we ordered.

We go to Charleston once or twice a year and Magnolias is the one restaurant that never disappoints us. Some of the more popular places have not maintained their quality the way Magnolias has. The food and service were excellent as always. We had another great dining experience.

We ranked Magnolia's as the best of the number of fine restaurants we dined in on this trip. The setting was pleasant, not to noisy, we could carry on a normal conversation, service was outstanding and the food was better than that. The seafood bisque was perhaps the best we have ever had and we have had a lot. Likewise... More

With all the outstanding dining options in Charleston, Magnolias ended up being our hands-down favorite. Great ambiance, great service and amazing food. Wonderfully inventive menu. Each of us chose something different from the menu and all were outstanding. Make sure you make reservations.

We had dinner at Magnolia with friends and loved it so much that we went back a few days later with our daughter for lunch. Both times we were really impressed with the food and the service. The menu featured southern favorites like shrimp and grits but with a little twist. They featured a spicy shrimp and grits that wasn't... More

One of our 'go to' places in Charleston. We haven't been here in over a year and couldn't wait to return. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu recommended the 'hoppin John risotto'. It was unique and awesome. Their items always are.

From the minute we were seated our waiter Bob made sure that we had everything that we required. He provided superb dinner and drink recommendations. The food was outstanding. My wife had the filet and it was cooked to a perfect medium something that many restaurants seem to have trouble with. I had the catfish with shrimp, it was mouth... More

Visited Magnolias for a happy hour. Staff was friendly and drinks were priced for happy hour. Atmosphere was quiet and looked like a good place to stop by for a bite. The bar area allowed for our very informal attire (T shirts and shorts), I would dress casual for dinner.

Good classy restruant good food great service, and a conversation level that a lot of other places should copy, could easily hold a conversation without raising my voice, but could not hear other people's either. Only down side was the light , we sat at a center table and the light was only just bright enough to read the menu... More
