Creative, beautiful plates, worth the prices

Since I was with a group of four, I got to try lots of dishes, and each was better than the last. The service was good with knowledgeable staff and lots of attention to service detail such as placing food at the table simultaneously. Our server could have had a little bit more enthusiasm as I guess... read more

I had the wreckfish and my husband had the short ribs. Both dishes had an excellent taste. Our server was very knowledgable and she was excited about the offerings. We admired the artwork on the walls and she told us that the work was represented locally. Since I use a walker, the staff put up a ramp for me to... More

This restaurant has the same team running it that "The Husk restaurant has. It is in a beautiful historic house in Unity Alley an d very appealing in decor with good lighting.. The chef is an award winner and the food is very well done. The service is somewhat pompous with careful arrangement of plates and flatware. Detailed description can... More

I say "casual fine dining" in that it's not a white table cloth sort of spot, however, the service and food were spot on with what I'd expect in a good spot home in New York. While we only did a few apps and drinks on our way through to another event, the experience puts it on my list to... More

This was our first night in Charleston, this came highly recommded. The first thing we noticed was how lovely the bar looked, very inviting and dark romantic lighting. The restaurant where we sat was too bright. Our waiter was great and very attentive. The food was ok, not great and for the money expensive.

Chef owner Sean Brock reminds me of another artsy bad boy – Mark Morris. You are supposed to Ooh and Aah over Mark Morris’ choreographic creations, otherwise, you don’t know nothing. Foodies do the same with Sean Brock’s farm-to-table kitchen choreography. OK, maybe I don’t know nothing. We recently dined at McCradys and I walked away a non-believer. First off,... More

My wife and I have been to this restaurant several times and each time we visit we're more amazed then the last. The quality of the ingredients, all local and the thought that goes into getting the best flavor out of each of those ingredients is incredible. For instance I had short ribs, these short ribs came almost medium rare.... More

We basically ended up at McCrady's by accident when we missed our reservation at another restaurant. I am so glad we did. First drinks in the incredible bar were great, and then even better was the table right in front of one of the fireplaces. Our waitress was a delight and the food delicious. The short ribs were especially good.... More

This is another Sean Brock restaurant in Charleston who also owns Husk and both are very different type. The restaurant is beautiful. However, We were very disappointed in the food since Husk was so good. It was Sept. 4th 2015 and my son's birthday. We thought the quality of the food was poor quality since you ordered little plates of... More

My husband and I have been here several times and have loved our experience every time. The food here is phenomenal. The best way to eat is to do their four course meal. You can get it a la carte but to have a full experience, do the four course meal. The flavors here are very different, they call this... More
