The food here is amazing, everything I've tried is excellent. The soups are fresh and delightfully different, yet very tasty! I highly recommend the soup sampler so you can enjoy 3 different soups! The sandwiches are also wonderful. I tried the turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce and herbed cream cheese on sourdough, it was fantastic! My friends tried the chicken... More

Great atmosphere. Ordered the Crab cake BLT from one of the "specials of the day". Really great sandwich that was quite large....did NOT order nor need to order a "side" seeing as it was very filling. I will return!

If you want to eat great food but have a tight budget this is definitely the place to try! Half soup/sandwich/salad is the way to go. The portabella burger and FLC salad was so good. If you are looking for an appetizer definitely try the goat cheese gnocchi. Everything on the menu looks delicious.

Five Loaves This was our first stop when we arrived in Charleston. It is an adorable place – small, but not cramped. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location, close to downtown. I had a half Portobello goat cheeseburger (vegetarian) and a bowl of sweet potato soup. My husband had the Mediterranean garden burger. Both meals were amazing and I... More

Love this place but you might have a wait because I have never been there when there was not a line. There is a community table in the back. The soups are home made and my fav is the soup and 1/2 sandwich.Desserts are incredible if you have room.I had cake to go.

Tiny restaurant with excellent choices for Sunday breakfast or brunch. I got a soup sampler that was excellent. And a vegetable Benedict that was delicious! Eggs were perfectly cooked and hollandaise was on point. Husband got biscuits and gravy with side of bacon for good measure. A peach Bellini and excellent make this a sure fire favorite!

After arriving here today for a girls weekend, we were searching for a good local place to eat. Fortunately, we quickly found Five Loaves. We arrived just after 5 pm and were seated promptly. The menu was not overly large (which can be overwhelming at new restaurants) and we finally decided on our meals. I chose the chicken salad sandwich... More

My wife an I have had lunch there many times but last week we tried the Sunday Brunch for the first time. They have a nice menu and their food is always fresh. While they have a nice assortment of healthful choices to offer, we opted for the chicken and waffles. They were delicious and worth the calories
