Although this is a highly rated restaurant, most of the food is likely prepared partially in advance, as they are totally unable to handle a food allergy, even when they were warned in advance. I was limited to only 2 selections of main courses, and...none of the appetizers. The final disappointment was a 4% surcharge added for credit cards. Who carries enough cash to pay for an expensive meal? We will not be returning.More

Charming restaurant with great food. We were seated in the part that was like an older house turned into a restaurant so the room had 4 tables. I was disappointed in the She Crab Soup everyone raves about ...no crab meat to speak of. I...think the crab ran thought it LOL. That's why 4 not 5 stars. The Shrimp and Grits were good, but the Jambalaya was the star. Good food, atmosphere and out decent service.More

Said it before and I will say it again: love this place and no matter what is available- dinner, lunch or brunch - we will always find time for 82 Queen. Our favorite in Charleston. Fried green tomato appetizer is great, best She Crab soup...and wonderful salads. Don’t miss this place!More

The waitress and food were excellent. Unfortunately, the room next door had a very loud party that was very disruptive to the meal for every guests in our room. The waitress apologized often and then when dinner arrived she asked if we wanted to move...which we did and were grateful. Several other couples complained and wanted the manager to address the situation with this party being so loud you could not even talk to the people at your table, but she never came in and talked to us. I did speak to her on our way to the new table and was disappointed by her lack of care and responsiveness. A little customer service goes a long way. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.More

Today we attended a bridal luncheon of 20 people. We had a set menu of she-crab soup or Queens salad, a choice 3 entrees and a choice of the wonderful desserts they offer! All the praise goes out to Lane who served all 20 of...us graciously! We appreciate the hospitality of the staff at 82 Queen and many thanks to the back of the house staff and servers! Can't wait for our next visit to this low country gem.More

This restaurant has a nice patio. The she crab soup and shrimp and grits were delicious. My husband had the Duck. Wow was that fantastic. The only thing which may just be me, the servers were not very kind. The girls, and I mean girls...that seated people didnt seem interested. The food is very good though so dont let that stop you.More

The service was good and the food was over cooked. Not the best meal in Charleston. Nice atmosphere and I would check out other spots.

We loved this restaurant so much we went twice during our visit, once for lunch and once for dinner! We had the She crab soup and Crab cakes for lunch, delicious! For dinner, we sat at the bar and sipped on Charleston Breezes, yum! We...had the Braised Beef Short Rib and the Jambalaya, both amazing. We were full but ordered a slice of Bourbon Pecan Pie to take back to our room, it was sinfully delicious! Great atmosphere and service!More

First time visiting Charleston and this was one of the restaurants picked for a reservation. I brought a group of 4 ladies and from looking at online pictures, I requested a table under the gazebo. I was pleased when we were seated there by the...host. Their little outdoor patio area is really adorable. Our server was fantastic although I cannot remember his name. The food was good, however, we ate at Halls Chophouse the day before and nothing compares. The food and prices were decent, but overall there was nothing outstanding if that makes sense. Our entire group agreed that the crab soup at Halls was better. The service and food at 82 Queen was good though, honestly no complaints about either. My only complaint is the drinks. We all ordered drinks off their drink menu which were priced $10-$12 each. The drinks were extremely underwhelming. They came in small glasses and were very watered down. They tasted like they were poured out a fountain machine and had a lime wedge thrown on the rim. Normally our group will order more than one drink and not one person at the table ordered a second drink. For the price they charge for drinks, you expect them to be handcrafted cocktails. The management needs to think about replacing their bartender. Overall, decent experience.More

It's Charleston - so think "smart casual." Definitely not a sports bar. Nice shorts would be fine for either women or men...but avoid blue jean cut-offs, tee shirts & tank tops.
