A local hole in the wall - but worth the effort to find. We happened to pass this and decided to give it a try. We had the Pumpkin Pancakes and the Waffles and Chicken. It was just delicious. This is not fine dining - just delicious food!! Very close to the Market area - go find it!!

OMG...great breakfast food and I don't usually eat breakfast! We ate here two days in a row. First day we split the State Street Biscuit which was wonderful. Chicken cooked perfect, gravy delicious and the egg topping it all was perfect. Second day we split the Shrimp BLT which was great. Shrimp were a nice addition along with the fried... More

We had a to go order for breakfast. We both got bacon egg and cheese biscuits. The biscuit was burned and hard! I couldn't cut the biscuit with a knife it was so burned. There were all new employees working so I'm thinking maybe new owners? Needless to say we won't go back and we have eaten there for years.

We were introduced to this eatery on a culinary tour and had to go back for the tomato pie. This is not health food, but definitely great food for the soul! The corn bread is very different but good. Well worth the calories.

This was by far the biggest surprise on our trip! WE were warned not to judge this book by its cover, and so glad we did not. The food was so fantastic it brought tears to my eyes. We were so full after our burgers that we took dessert back to the hotel for later. Sweet mother, I shall not... More

My husband and I stopped in here for some breakfast. We had the chicken and waffles and state street biscuit. Both were awesome, great way to start our day. Don't let the outside of the building fool you. The food is simply amazing.

I visited the place on a Saturday morning and it was quite busy. The food wasn't really special in taste or preperation, but it was very good and very fresh. I very good place, but not special!

If you are just looking for breakfast look no further that the Dixie. Not much seating inside or outside, but you can get take out as well and order ahead...or you may have to wait in line, but it is worth it. Regular breakfast food is awesome and their baked goods are also...especially the pecan-bacon-bourbon pie. This is not a... More

"Mom and Pop shop." It gets busy and there is a line. Totally worth it though. I was worried that it would take forever to get my food but it really didn't. Recommend anything with bacon (high quality thick cuts) and the pancakes (which taste like funnel cakes). Highly recommend the omelet with pimento cheese and fried green tomato (awesome).

My husband and I stopped in here on Saturday morning before heading to the farmers market. I had a croissant with egg and cheese and he had the island omelet. All were very good and cooked well. We had our food in about 10 minutes and we got there just before the line backed out the door at around 9:15... More
