This was by far the biggest surprise on our trip! WE were warned not to judge this book by its cover, and so glad we did not. The food was so fantastic it brought tears to my eyes. We were so full after our burgers that we took dessert back to the hotel for later. Sweet mother, I shall not... More

My husband and I stopped in here for some breakfast. We had the chicken and waffles and state street biscuit. Both were awesome, great way to start our day. Don't let the outside of the building fool you. The food is simply amazing.

I visited the place on a Saturday morning and it was quite busy. The food wasn't really special in taste or preperation, but it was very good and very fresh. I very good place, but not special!

If you are just looking for breakfast look no further that the Dixie. Not much seating inside or outside, but you can get take out as well and order ahead...or you may have to wait in line, but it is worth it. Regular breakfast food is awesome and their baked goods are also...especially the pecan-bacon-bourbon pie. This is not a... More

"Mom and Pop shop." It gets busy and there is a line. Totally worth it though. I was worried that it would take forever to get my food but it really didn't. Recommend anything with bacon (high quality thick cuts) and the pancakes (which taste like funnel cakes). Highly recommend the omelet with pimento cheese and fried green tomato (awesome).

My husband and I stopped in here on Saturday morning before heading to the farmers market. I had a croissant with egg and cheese and he had the island omelet. All were very good and cooked well. We had our food in about 10 minutes and we got there just before the line backed out the door at around 9:15... More

While it does not look good from the outside or when you first walk in, the breakfast meals were great. Service could use some improvement, but it is worth stopping in for quick and tasty breakfast while in the City Market area.

The lines are long and the service is slow but the food is delicious. Worth the wait. We both got the state street biscuits (fried chicken, egg and gravy). Full of locals and tourists.

Tasty breakfast. Low island omelette was pretty good and grits were good (considering I don't usually like them). Not sure I'd go back but it was a fun breakfast

Combination quality bakery and small restaurant serving tasty bake goods and sandwiches and dishes. Tables outside under umbrellas for your dining pleasure. Located off the well traveled main streets, but nevertheless, providing great food and services. The day we were there it was crowdEd for lunch. They also serve breakfast. Priced reasonably too.
