I got room service on my last night at the Francis Marion hotel, and I have never eaten such juicy, delicious fried chicken in my life. The collard greens, mashed potatoes and brown gravy were also excellent. I would go here just for the chicken!

We specifically tried this place because I had a Restaurant.com gift certificate. We visited on a weekday for lunch and were really the only two in the joint. Our server was very pleasant and helpful with menu offerings. They had several nice menu offerings and...More

I’ll start with the positives, the bar is great and we experienced nothing but awesome service and tasty beverages. I was with a group that added over 50 occupants to their property for a conference and will give them a 3.75 out of 5 for...More

We recently had a weekend getaway in Charleston and had dinner here. The shrimp and grits as an appetizer was fantastic! My wife had the gnocchi and I had a veggie plate.

Prix fix menu that was reasonable and included a bottle of very nice wine. I had the crab cakes which were better than what I make. I also enjoyed the Pot deCreme.

We learned afterward that this restaurant has had a long time (and well deserved, in our opinion...) reputation for its food and service. Our first visit was for a quick lunch...I ordered two items I'd never had before (mind you, I'm from Chicago...): She Crab...More

We love staying at the Francis Marion -- just a beautiful hotel, with so much charm. We have eaten breakfast at this restaurant, never dinner and it just wasn't as fabulous as we hoped. Service was good -- but our food was very non spectacular....More

Our visit to the Francis Marion Hotel had our group sharing the Swamp Fox Restaurant for breakfast or lunch, snacks etc. The food was scrumptious, varied dishes, creamed gravies and if you love Grits, they had them too!
