Was told that this is Charleston's #1 restaurant which means reservations are hard to come by and should be made at least a month in advance. We were very fortunate to get in on the same day for an early dinner and had high expectations...More

James Beard has it right. FIG warrants the highest accolades for quality of ingredients, blends of spices and flavors, service and ambiance. We could actually have a conversation while enjoying the best food and spirits. No wonder it’s hard to snare a reservation.

No figs to be found but great food and wine! Great food culture in Charleston. Let's start with a bottle of Dominique Cornin Pouilly Fuisse. This a great example of a practical wine offering. Affordable and stands up to the best Chardonnay. Quality locally sourced...More

The food wasn’t nearly as great as I heard, mediocre at the very best; though the atmosphere was okay. We left after appetizers. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Not sure why this restaurant is not in the top 5 on TripAdvisor. The James Beard foundation disagrees, and so do I! Wonderful dinner, great service. Creative cooking at its best! We will be back, maybe tomorrow for lunch if we can get in....

The hype for this place is not exaggerated. The food is innovative but not too unique, with good portions service in an elegantly appointed space. The service was attentive, and our server was knowledgable about the menu and wine list. Probably one of the best...More

We stumbled on this corner restaurant, which they kindly made room for us, but I would recommend calling/booking ahead of time. Wonderful waiter and staff who spend time explaining the menu and menu options with recommendations. excellent food !

Wow, I didn't believe the hype of FIG at first. But it somehow met and even surpassed those high expectations. I typically don't get into detailed food conversations with servers. But this server was amazing. She explained all of the dishes and most importantly, it...More

We ate at many of Charleston’s fine restaurants on our girls’ trip. Fig was a favorite for a few reasons. Our server was attentive, but not intrusive. He allowed us all to taste the wine before we ordered a bottle. My favorite course was the...More

During the last year we've dined at FIG three times and have found each time to be excellent. By calling at exactly 10:00 when reservations opened, we booked the last 6:30 table available. Although small with tables close together, we never feel jammed against other...More
