We stopped in at Tommy Condon's for lunch. We were drawn in by the crowd of people standing in front of the misters out front. Awesome touch on a blistering hot day. We actually went twice in one day. Once for lunch and later for drinks and desert. We were seated right away and our server was great. Our table... More

Our waiter was very friendly; our food was served in a timely manner. The green tomatoe BLT with pimiento cheese was very good.

Stopped off for beer and a burger. Good beer selection. Pretty average burger. Pretty expensive for a pub, but it's in a great location.

Thoroughly enjoyed our service, food, and drinks. The manager, Parker, stopped and talked and made us feel very welcome!

Hard to enjoy your meal, which wasn't the best, while smelling the horse carriages when they go by. Better restaurants in area.

Wife and I came in on a Friday night at 9:40pm. Not too busy. Were sat right in the middle of the room. Lots of empty but dirty tables around us. No one came for 20 minutes to ask for our drink order or anything. Tried like crazy to make eye contact with the wait staff - but they were... More

This is an Irish pub with a varied menu. I had the fish tacos - not bad! We were seated near a window, and it was fun to watch the continuous parade of passes-by. Our server was polite and helpful, and the atmosphere at that time of day (5PM) was pleasant and low-key. The house wine changes every day, so... More

This was the 1st restaurant we went to upon visiting Charleston. The best thing I can say about the experience is that it made me say as we left "things can only get better from here." Wife, had grilled shrimp, about 5 tiny shrimp over fries, pretty flavorless. I had a burger, probably the worst cheeseburger I have had... ever...... More

Best Bud and I celebrated our last night with a cocktail or two. Christian Carroll and the Bograts were playing and we loved them. Such a fun night! And super grateful. Left a bag there and called to see if they found it. No problem -- was able to pick it up the next day. Many thanks!

Description
After working in the restaurant business for many years, Tommy opened his first restaurant in 1984. He has made his name by becoming one of Charleston's favorite local spots to serve up Lowcountry specialties such as shrimp and grits and fish and chips. Tommy runs the type of family-oriented establishment where people know their children are as welcome as they are. In fact, a children's menu has been specially prepared for "little leprechauns." In the months following Hurricane Hugo, Tommy made numerous trips to Ireland collecting exquisite antique mirrors and authentic Irish memorabilia that adorn his restaurant. He scoured the countryside and brought every pub mirror he could find. He laughs wryly about his massive shipping bills. The results are worth all his effort. The mirrors cast rich reflections, making the restaurant warm and inviting. Some mirrors are ornately detailed while others shimmer with simple elegance. You'll swear you've been transported to a pub shrouded in antiquity in Ireland's rambling countryside. The restaurant would not be complete without the sounds of Ireland. The background music is perfect. In the pub and bar area the "live" sounds of Ireland can be heard every Wednesday through Sunday nights. You can sit back and listen or join in singing an Irish-American sing-along. Tommy says it is wonderful to see whole families getting in on the fun at one table while at another sits a couple on a date and at yet another sits someone's grandparents remembering and laughing.
