A bit pricey compared to some of its Charleston competitors of similar fare, but highly enjoyable dinner. Does not quite hit level of warranting a return visit next time I am in Charleston but that's largely due to so many other choices.

We wanted to try something different and made a great choice by coming to Cypress. We had the Chateaubriand for two it was excellent, we started with the crab cakes and heirloom tomato salad they were both excellent. The drinks are to die for, we started with a lavander martini has to be one of the best drinks I have... More

Long story short: this was the best dining experience I had in Charleston. I sat at the bar upstairs since I was eating solo. The drinks were reasonably priced and delicious (trust their bartenders - true craftsmen). I started with the charcuterie plate and the almond crusted brie. I had read great things about the charcuterie, which is all made... More

My husband and I chose Cypress as the big, fancy, dinner for our anniversary weekend in Charleston. We were so glad that we did. It more than lived up to our expectations. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable and the food was fantastic. I started with the Almond-Fried Brie Salad and it was delicious. The Phyllo Wrapped Salmon that I... More

We have been to Blossom and Magnolia (Cypress's sister restaurants) but Cypress was an unexpected treat. It is a finer dining establishment than the other two, but with a modern twist. They have an excellent kitchen, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was very inviting. We arrived without a reservation and spent a few minutes in the upstairs bar... More

There were four of us and we broke our own rules. After splitting some appetizers, we all had the real Caesar salad and then all had the featured steaks for two. One of the best five steaks I've ever had. Great meal, great service, great town.

Would have given this a 5, but our waitress was a little annoying and frankly, I just didn't enjoy the kids running around and at one point wailing. This is a white-table cloth restaurant, exquisite food, and eclectic high-end atmosphere. Was surprised to see young children running around and it ruined the mood - which could be very romantic or... More

We ordered the fillet and strip, both were good. I was hoping for more filling sides but the dish worked well. I would go back for a second round, atmosphere was nice.

So my wife and I finally went to Cypress on East Bay Street for our anniversary dinner. She had the swordfish and I had the Steak Dianne. Both were great but the Steak Dianne was really superb! Seating was very comfortable and we had a corner table that felt very private. They have a 3 story wine rack and the... More
