Confirmed reservation with a smile; atmosphere of simple elegance; seating was lush and plush; staff was warm, professional, and available; place was full, but never overwhelmed; full menu, with a traditional holiday addendum; wife was enchanted with her soup and salad, as was I with the full turkey and vegetables; pumpkin soup delightful, turkey was extra special. Manager stopped by,... More

We only visited the upstairs bar but looked over the dinner menu for the restaurant on the first floor. The bar had a glass enclosed wine cellar which was three stories tall. Great bar atmosphere.

Had Thanksgiving dinner here. Seems that $38 for Smoked Turkey while good was a bit over priced. Staff helpful and the surroundings wonderful. Still have to go back to the price which is why no additional star.

Here's the 1,2,3,4s... 1. I wouldn't normally give a one star review, but this was such a bad experience that I felt compelled to give one, given all the hype of this place. Seriously, look at all my reviews...I'm not a one time reviewer, and I'm a very serious traveller who knows good from bad and worse. I would hope... More

Like a number of Charleston restaurants lately, this one raves more about their chefs than the food. Pricing is outrageous and food good but not nearly worth the price. If you want to brag about where you went to eat while in Charleston more than you want good good at a reasonable price than this place is for you.

Cypress is known for its Charcuterie, but you should try more than that when you go. The lobster bisque is another great starter. We recently enjoyed dinner with friends here, and I would also recommend the wasabi crusted tuna. It was the best entree at the table, and a very good portion of tuna. Nice plating as well.

We went on a Saturday night because it was one of the only places that would take a last minute reservation. The service was amazing and everyone was very attentive. However the waiter did not explain menu items very well and did not really sell us on anything. I was not impressed by the food (the fish was tough and... More

We stopped in late (close to closing) and were greeted by an enthusiastic hostess who did not treat us like aliens at the hour we arrived. That was refreshing in and of itself. She proceeded to walk us through the highlights of the menu and we appreciated her willingness to help us in that way. We had a wonderful server... More
