One of Charleston's all time best. A beautiful place to dine. Not ideal for children, more for couples. Only bad experience was when we signed up for Thanksgiving and were put in a separate room and not allowed to order from the menu, which we had been told would be possible. Otherwise, consistently good.

The restaurant has very nice ambiance. It was too hot to sit outside. The service was excellent. The ribeye was excellently spiced and done perfectly. The soup and salads were very good. Worth the price.

we came in for dessert last Friday and the coconut cake was as good as we remembered it. 8 layers high, with great icing and excellent coffee. the food looked good here as well (it was the last time we ate dinner here) but if you miss dinner, don't miss the coconut cake for dessert. you will not be disappointed.

Excellent steaks and seafood in a wonderful setting. The patio is very nice. Service is excellent. It was the most exspensive restaurant we visited in Charleston so this place loses a star for the high prices but if money is no object this should be on your list of restaurants not to miss. Located on Meeting street at the old... More

Girlfriend wasn't enjoying her meal and despite the maître di trying his best nothing was changing her take on the place. I enjoyed my meal but it was an expensive night out and you want to a wow factor that we didn't experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Peninsula Grill. The setting is Old South, (this is downtown Charleston) but it's very comfortable and inviting. There is some very interesting food, especially the appetizers and side dishes. I loved the Split Pea & Mint Soup. I had the Scallops for my main course and stole some of my companions Pan Seared... Stopped in for a cup of coffee and desert. Heard so much about the Coconut cake I had to have it. Exceeded my expectation! Bonus, bar has a nice scotch selection!

We saw this restaurant from Market Street and took a peek. The atmosphere and menu looked amazing, so we booked a dinner for the following evening. We were not disappointed. The service was top notch, and the food was excellent. It was our highlight dinner in Charleston. Don't be worried that it is attached to a hotel. Will go back.

Sometimes people tell you they know how to make a mint julep and then totally mess it up~~even in Charleston! Peninsula Grill always does a beautiful job with this and their meals. It's my go-to for all special occasions!
