Someone mentioned this restaurant on my trip to Charleston and at first, I was skeptical... But, no more... The food was WONDERFUL!!! For a starter, we had the fried green tomatoes---mind you, I don't like them... But these?!?! People must have been making them wrong... They were delish! Then we got our entrees and everything on the table was good...... More

We come here every time we visit our daughter here. It's a casual place that we go to for breakfast (especially after a night out). There is usually a wait and they won't seat you unless your entire group is there but it's worth it. There is a window you can go to while you wait and get a bloody... More

On the way back home, my wife and I stopped at the Hominy Grill. My wife had the Big Nasty biscuit. It was great. I had the plain biscuits and gravy and a bowl of grits. The gravy pairs well with the piece of chicken, with out it, the regular biscuits and gravy seems to be missing something. The grits... More

Had to go on many recommendations from past visitors. The Shrimp and Grits was to die for....as was the delicious Lime Curd Cake....first time eating boiled peanuts...wonderful hospitality and five star service.

Whether you come for breakfast, lunch or dinner, this funky little place will offer you a variety of creative takes on southern cuisine. They were able to satisfy both my wife's need for gluten-free food--she has celiac disease--and my desire for a big ole "Nasty Biscuit" for breakfast. Everything we had was quite tasty and reasonably priced. Service is friendly,... More

The food was great and the staff was very knowledgeable about the food as well as friendly. The brought boiled peanuts to our table while we waited for our food. Who can ask for more.

When we visit Charleston, it has become tradition to have our last meal at Hominy Grill. It's got a relaxed & homey feel to the restaurant, the service is great, & their food has yet to disappoint! Even on our last visit, I just had their country breakfast (eggs, grits-get the cheese added!, bacon, & a biscuit instead of toast),... More

Hominy grill is a bright sunny friendly spot for breakfast. I had the special (peach buckwheat pancakes with pecan butter) and it was delicious. The server was very friendly and the food was reasonably priced. Looking for a tasty breakfast, head over to the Hominy Grill.
