We had an outstanding experience at Eli's! The food was great (catch of the day and veggie risotto). I have a gluten allergy and our waiter Raymond was extremely helpful and accommodating. He went above and beyond to ensure our experience was way above expectations....We had brought out dogs with us. He asked their names, brought them a bowl of water and a basket of bacon, which they loved. He suggested drinks and food for us, which were great. Don't get me started on the heavenly creme brule! Highly recommend Eli's. Just ask for Raymond (and the hotlist)! You won't regret it!More

Although we have not eaten here for many years, the last time being before we relocated to the Charleston area, we opted to do so, since it was very near to the Gibbes Museum of Art, where we were attending a superb jazz concert. Since...they were out of the appetizer that we selected, we chose the smoked gouda fondue, which was delicious. My wife ordered the salmon leaf entree and I had the catch of the day, which was the mahi mahi. Both were excellent. We completed our great dinner with delicious beignets, the first time, since our trip to New Orleans several years ago. Our server Zachary was excellent, both efficient and attentive. My only criticism, which didn’t affect my rating, is that we should have had more time before the arrival of our entrees, since we had just finished our appetizer.More

Ate around 1030 on a Wednesday out front of the restaurant. The tables in the courtyard were too wet. The Shrimp and Grits was the best I’ve ever had, the addition of the corn makes it very good. This rivaled the Shrimp and grits at...Paige’s Okra Grill in Mt. Pleasant, which I never thought could be outdone. If I could recommend one thing, fly control, a tall order that may not be in their control, but could use some air movement or something out front. Waiter Johnathan was cool and easy-going, attentive, but not annoying. Well done folks.More

What a fantastic night with old friends! Carson and Raymond made sure that our mini reunion was all it could be. The swordfish special was delicious as was everything else. Ask for these 2 if you want the best!

Had a fabulous dinner out with my friend and her boyfriend for her 30th birthday. Carson was an exceptional server ensuring we enjoyed the evening and couldn’t have been more attentive. Raymond was the cherry on top! A true gentleman making sure we exited the...building to a safe ride home. These two make a fabulous pair to anyone’s dining experience here in Charleston. I ordered a rare filet that couldn’t have been more perfect, her medium rare ribeye too was perfectly executed and the duck and waffles was surely a treat! A delicious creme brûlée for dessert was the icing on the cake! Anyone coming to Charleston must stop at Eli’s table!!More

We had a fantastic evening at this restaurant! Every aspect of our experience was attended to. Our waiter was incredible making us feel welcome, laugh, and made sure we were always taken care of. Making sure to even sign my cast in oder to leave...a part of the restaurant with us as we traveled north. The food and drinks we had were absolutely delicious leaving us perfectly satisfied. This little gem of a restaurant was the best find on my trip to Charleston. The food is fabulous, the best fried green tomatoes I’ve ever eaten and they serve with an interesting twist. Their shrimp and grits were superb as was the beet salad...and the/fried brussels sprouts. desserts like crème brûlée and beignets with a homemade berry Cooley topped off a fabulous dining experience. As if the food wasn’t enough the staff who waited on us was delightful. Carson and Raymond should be advertisements for Eli’s table. Their personalities were the icing on my birthday celebration. I was ready to take them both home with me.More

We arrived in Charleston a little later than expected and we had a tour that we needed to get to shortly after arrival. We were frantically looking for a place to grab dinner and we lucked out here. We told the host our situation and...he sat us immediately. We told our waiter, Raymond, what time we needed to leave and he got us out on time. Sometimes places get irritated with people coming in last minute and being in a hurry but not this place. They were very welcoming and accommodating! Our waiter was very friendly and gave us a list of recommended things to do during our stay. The food was absolutely delicious. I wanted to go back before we left Charleston but we ran out of time. We will definitely go here again when we are back in Charleston.More

When my husband and I walked there in the heat we looked worse for wear. Apparently the host thought so too. She seated us in what appeared to be a closed area if the restaurant. The only people on that side were staff taking breaks...and people looking for the restroom. Because of this unique seating we got to observe some sleazy staff comments about a young woman applying for a job- run Caroline! Don’t take the job! We couldn’t wait to get out of the restaurant- never mind that we will never be going back. Food tasted okay but hot food was not hot, cold food was not cold. The only bright spot was a very friendly wait staff named Milan. He was great.More

My husband and I had breakfast at Eli’s two days ago, and had a wonderful experience. My husband, who is very particular about his grits, said that the grits were the best he’s ever had!!! I’ve never liked grits, but had to taste them because...he was enjoying them so much. They were delicious!!! Everything else we had was delicious as well. Our server and all the other staff were so pleasant and welcoming. Our meal at Eli’s Table was by far the best meal we had during our visit to Charleston. We will definitely eat there again!!! Also - My husband says, if you like grits, go there! Tell the chef Chris sent you.More
